I'm afraid I agree with lostinisaan. Yes , there are quite a few things that could irritate me about Thailand, but I have come here to live and I accept that there are aspects of living here that aren't quite my idea of nirvana. It's their bloody country and I am the "outsider, farang " or whatever. If you don't like it, and it doesn't suit you, then why did you come here? I've been to Pattaya and Phuket and more and listened to the busted arse bar stool jockeys moaning about the girls , the beer , the prices , the corruption ad nauseum and think," why don't you go back to where you came from if it's all that bad"

Thanks for that. It is the same as last time we were there .  Amazing though to stand in the Wat surrounded by bunkers and razor wire.

Hello Santisuk, I am keen to join the hashers . I did a few runs with the mob from Bali over the last few years but a recent motorcycle mishap has reduced me to a walker ( until I heal that is) but I still enjoy the liquid part of the festivities. I won't make this run, but I will be keen in the future. I look forward to it. How do I keep up with coming events?

I am an Australian, living and farming with my Thai partner near Nachaluay. I keep hearing from locals that there are many farang so living around the area ( Det Udom, Buntharik, Nachaluay etc.) but haven't actually seen or met too many. Are there any around the region that are interested in a catch up for a quiet beer or meal or just a chat ? I am generally pretty busy with the farm etc. but it would be good to have the occasional social chat with a farang or 2 for a change.
