  1. Such laudable platitudes seem to be at variance with reality. How about getting the said workers to work safely? In mind would be the obligatory wearing of crash helmets ( not the eggshells we all see) for riders and passengers. The factory security then denying access to work until they are seen to be worn before entry. Yes okay cynics amongst you will comment the helmet is donned 50m before factory gate. But what’s attempted here is to create a mindset and attitude to a healthy lifestyle.
Could apply the same to the many , supposedly intelligent students, who seem more concerned about ruining their hair and macho image by wearing a helmet , to gain access to the campus.
    Just a thought

  2. Thought I would share this:

Prevention method is to keep your throat moist, do not let your throat dry up. Thus do not hold your thirst because once your membrane in your throat is dried, the virus will invade into your body within 10 mins.*
*Drink 50-80cc warm water, 30-50cc for kids, according to age.* *Everytime u feel your throat is dry, do not wait, keep water in hand.* *Do not drink plenty at one time as it doesn’t help, instead continue to keep throat moist.*

So masks and boiled sweets for the future

  3. So here's the oxymoron. We've all seen the surge in cyclists on the roads-complete with

Lycra outfits and headgear. But when the same folk ( not all obviously ) mount the motorbikes - do they bother with a crash helmet?? Greater speed - but Buddha will protect!

Talking of oxymorons - you see the explosion in wearing facemasks? What use they have is problematic. But more than once I've seen guys lift the mask up , light up and smoke!!

It's best these people don't breed, methinks.

  4. "bus was stopping every now and then"

Now that could be one of two either he was catching up on his REM sleep or he has bladder issues ( prostatism ) both of which could be contributory issues. I guess it's a change from "brake failure" as the usual culprit but no excuse.

When will these people learn? Taking charge of an oblong metal box on wheels demands more than a cursory " I can do it - watch me"!!!    Life so cheap here.

  5. Anyone had experience of a FULL medical check-up( ECG/CXR/Bloods/ MRI Body Scan etc) at a Private Hospital in Bangkok? Any to be recommended.? Rapidly approaching dotage and hoping to self refer but happy to get a Dr’s referral.

  6. Nearing completion of Sale and faced with a 3% fee to the above   whose involvement was at best minimal. To ask- what is their job description and qualifications and secondly if no  contract made how enforceable is the demand for full fee and is it worth negotiating a reduction to say 1.5% or respond with “ see you in court”

  7. A tragic accident - and we've all seen the way these Hiace Van drivers behave be it on the open road or at junctions forging an imaginary lane on the inside - Oh I forget they're the 4th Emergency service of course - they own the road don't they . But seriously how regulated are the drivers and the vans - be they  public or private ? Some difficult answers  for the next of kin .

    RIP

  8. Guys - anyway to focus or enhance some CCTV stills? History - vehicle recorded hitting my car but the no. plate too grainy to read. Police would help  if had the name of the culprit . Any suggestions?
