As I said I don't blame all Swiss people but Switzerland was a part of the Nazi machine and a partner with criminals around the world for most of the last century. Yes, it's the same in the US and many other places too. The UN and Red Cross coming from Switzerland don't represent that nation's truth one bit. Both those organizations are rife with corruption and have been since their inception. My guess about the prostitution crackdown is there may be a link to that big break in the US. Who knows maybe there's some sort of a connection because they both happened at about the same time. Anyways, I'm not ragging on the Swiss just saying they are equally as bad as the US or any other nation; however, some of them like to claim ignorance of all that their nations organizations have participated in.

In Thailand, it wouldn't be impossible for the person criticizing the perp to go to jail for more time than the person who caused the pain and suffering. Warped world.

He's just the latest one. Every year throughout Thai history, there are many of these people who have intentionally and accidentally killed people who got off without punishment because of of their wealth and social status. This man is just a recent one. You could say all the elite families have one member who has done something terrible to others and gotten off. These killers and abusers go back decades so if you criticize this man criticize the privilege system in Thailand because it is the one of the roots of all lack of fair punishment.

The media should record the generals and their families new year's eve activities. Let's see if they are role models.

What's the name of the market you pass on the main highway from Korat to Bangkok? I've passed a few times and seen a flea market sign there. Is this the Save One Market?

Expert on Trump and the "rigged" election in comparison to the Bush-Gore election issues. Lots of viewers give comments.

I think any sane person who kills someone and tries to hide that truth by becoming another lie by being a 'monk' will eventually go insane. His future is hopeless. Whether he sees jail or not he will be tormented for life. I wonder what the people who go to his temple feel knowing his story.

I always listen to CSpan Washington Journal, Open Phones which anyone can call in on. It seems to me that Trump may well do it. On thing, I am surprised about so far is that they haven't mentioned the electoral college. They could literally vote for whoever they want despite the way their states go. So with this couldn't anyone actually win?

It seems like nothing is banned in Thailand. It depends on who is providing your Internet service. I wonder if these people blocking things are only considering the screen in front of them? "Look it's gone!" Yes, from your computer but what about the millions of others. Whatever the case, Thais love gossip so ban it and more will try to find it. If it has been banned, it obviously is 'real'.

Thailand needs some sort of online market place where farmers growing crops can put their present or future harvest up for review and sale. It should be something as easy as a social media post which many Thais can do. For example a farmer selling rice could put his rice for sale to anyone online or another farmer who is growing something else like chickpeas can also post. It could be broken down in various crop types and regions. It would also let some farmers trying new crops connect with people who might be looking for something strange. You could also offer seeds and saplings etc. One place online. Yes, it would cut out the middle man a bit. Just an idea. Maybe they already have something like this.

Thailand's problem is all positions are up for sale or cronyism and nepotism. How about a court for cases where people feel they lost government positions due to political people holding keeping them out. There should be a database of family names which is open to the public which shows where all family members under a last name work in government. This should only be fore government people of course. The public deserves the right to see this. Nepotism and cronyism by civil servants was rampant in the past and now is still a problem. It happens around the world but Thailand is especially bad. Also paying for family members to get jobs in the waterworks and other departments was also common. All sorts of abuse can be found everywhere from the ministries to the primary schools. Knowing where the family members work in government can help people to figure out their scam. School directors are also famous for taking tea money to let students from rich families into the top schools around the country when those students achieve lower scores than others competing to get it. Shouldn't these directors be fired? Also I have heard law students say that the way to be a judge in Thailand is by paying money. Others studying political science say that to be an ambassador, you need to have the right family name. If so, what a warped system rules over Thailand. Social science research done by an international team would probably be able to figure out where most of the cheats in Thai government are. And finally what about the regime's generals ability to christen their own children the rank of officers? Isn't that a bit corrupt? Money and politics are only one aspect of this horrible problem. More than those cronyism and nepotism have destroyed the respectability of the government and the faith Thais have in getting an fair chance to work in it and get fair treatment by it. Get rid of the cronyism and nepotism!

I think this is pretty funny. Makes Jesus toast for your daily bread. They also sell a Jesus grilled cheese sandwich maker.

I tried that plunger and it was just a mess cleaning it after without pouring it all down the drain. This way is easier for me. I bought a large stainless metal cup to put under it. You can use a hot water maker to fill it if it is high enough. I just heat up water in a hot sauce pan which takes a few minutes and then I pour it in. I get three big cups out of it. Getting good coffee is more of a problem. You can buy this plastic filter at the Japanese product shops where everything is 60 baht. They also have 70 filters for 60 baht. I use the large paper filters that way its not messy. You can make one cup or buy a large metal or glass pitcher to put under this and make a pot.

I'd bet there are more cars and motorcyles hitting people crossing the street at night these days.

" But Government House journalists saw this new regulation was meant only to bar a certain journalist from entry, " Isn't that enough to get you to believe she got shafted? The other journalists seem to agree. Just more control of ideas and voices from the regime. The old journalist probably knows a hell of a lot and wouldn't worry about asking questions that Prayuth should answer. Many of the other journalists in Thailand are... well... here they are dressed as primary school kids for Prayuth. Do journalists dress up for Obama or Putin?
Link to story of pic. The title says it all but I can't post it here.

Invest in pharmaceuticals that help depression. Half the nation will need them for the year(s) following the election. Don't matter who you vote for. Both are equally disappointing in their own way. What a whitewashing and abuse will follow while they are in office. For the next president it will be more of using your office and connections to clean your history. Unless everyone writes in Bernie! Good guys finish last.

It's the Thai 1% elite with 90% of power, wealth, military and everything else verses the .07 percent who pretty much only own mobile phones, computers, and A4 paper.

You don´t have to live in lies??? Isn´t it like this. If you go to the pub and tell somebody that they are, for example, to stupid and not can lay straight in bed. What happens? You probably will get the beating of your life, but that had nothing to do with freedom of speech. It was just you that didn´t know when it´s time to be quiet.
My rank is just 16 years in Thailand with absolutely no problem. What´s your excuse? LOL
I think you like the thug-life model which is beating people in the streets who have different opinions. And of course if the police get there beforehand the person who speaks the truth gets jailed for years.

Ok, go to work you clueless.
Not really. There's even a story today that references the corruption in Switzerland.
But this story is about prostitution there. My vote goes for the women totally knowing what their work was to be about. I'm sure the laws in Switzerland protect names so the ringleaders name may not even be public. Lots of sensitive information in Switzerland related to high profile Internationals so they must like it hush hush. Heck, they don't even have names on bank accounts.

Quite a lot of desperation on her part. Did she mention there won't be new years activities at many venues this year? I feel nervous walking anywhere without black or white on. People are increasing their black wardrobe and wearing it which can make you look ever more like an 'enemy' of the culture when you are out. I feel guilty about it anyways. The more people wear black the worse you feel if you don't. I wonder what a tourist feels when they walk around in their colors among a sea of black?
