True, but kids can pass it on to their parents/grandparents.  That said, schools will have to re-open or the consequences are likely to be even worse.  Social-distancing in Thai schools will be near impossible, but hand-sanitising and masks may help a little.

    Thats true and possible.

But I cant find any recorded cases where little johnny went to school, caught the virus, then came home and killed Grandma.

This pandemic panic has blurred much of the general populations sense of rational proportion.

I applaud these Thais who are doing great service in catching farangs on overstay. Farnags think this is his country but it is not. My question is how does others know he is on overstay unless he talks to vilagers how easy to hide in rural areas without police permission (that is what Thais think of Immigration).

    Overstay yes.

But really and honestly what harm was he doing.

Not costing Thailand anything and presumably spending his pension here.

    Harmless bloke in my opinion.

  3. Hi.

I was having similar probs to you with my "Husky" saw.

A new carby sent from australia was going to cost $110.00 (aud).

I took a gamble on e bay and got a carby, spark plug and gaskets for under $20.

Carby looked identical to the factory item.

An hour to fit with a couple of bevvies ( didnt touch the mixture or idle screws ), now it starts 2nd or 3rd pull with a bit of choke and revs and idles perfect.

I appreciate that I've been allowed to stay here, I feel very unappreciated for the contributions I have made. My wife has a home which I can never own, she has money in the bank, property, health insurance. I send money to her parents, more than their Thai old age pensions amount to. Every year we help her nieces and nephews with schooling expenses, her parents with medical expenses and we make supply run once a year. I'm not asking for thanks, a pat on the back or a welldone! It would be nice to not get kicked out of the country because I can't get health insurance though. Just sayin'.

The contributions made to thai society and its people should be recognised more. A lot of people in the same position as this.

    Two ways to attach pictures

One is left click on image, chose "copy image" then paste in reply window.

The other is, save picture in your files, then chose "choose files" from the bottom of your reply window and attach picture,

    Good Luck

Bike arrived from Lion in BK

Goes ok..3 forward gears + reverse.

    Does 28kph in 3rd gear.

Bit bumpy to ride and have to be careful turning on a sloping surface as it feels like it could tip.

    Great around the village.

Soi dogs are dumfounded with the "no engine noise"

Most yelp and scurry away (BONUS !!)

Looks like charge will last 2/3 days with average use.

    Thanks for replies.

  9. Hi.

Anyone know where I can buy an electric 3 wheel scooter between , say Kon Kaen and Ubon ?

They are available in Bangkok through a shop called Lion Bike but I was hoping to pick one up out this way .

Better also for warranty and maintenance if i go local.

The old Ya Ya ( 80 ) has outgrown ? her normal Honda scooter and i"m  chasing something a bit more user friendly.

She just potters to the temple and local shops , but it helps her independence.
