Well what a load of pile on " knock down the tall poppy syndrome "
The facts ( as reported )
* He was in a hurry to get to the airport ( never done this you key board warriors ).
* He admits his driver hit the lady who was crossing the road . The driver was DRIVING , so if anything happens is culpable.
* They stopped and called authorities.
* The lady was taken away injured. Sad but true.
* They continued to airport.
* The driver returned to the hospital and discovered she is deceased. He was the driver remember.
* The MP has promised to pay up , even if the lady walked in front of the car... can't be fairer than that.
Phew , that feels better.

MG was a nice English car.
Sold to china .
Now you want to buy a Chinese car with an MG badge ?
Why not....they gave us the Kung flu. why not support them and buy their cars.
I would rather walk.

True, but kids can pass it on to their parents/grandparents. That said, schools will have to re-open or the consequences are likely to be even worse. Social-distancing in Thai schools will be near impossible, but hand-sanitising and masks may help a little.
Thats true and possible.
But I cant find any recorded cases where little johnny went to school, caught the virus, then came home and killed Grandma.
This pandemic panic has blurred much of the general populations sense of rational proportion.

Reality check.
How many kids have caught this virus from kid to kid contact ?
Over it.

Settle please.
No new cases in China today.
Its just the flu <deleted> !!!!
If you are reasonably fit and healthy you might get it.
Cough and splutter for a week then all better.
If you are old with pre existing conditions it might hit you harder.
But thats the way the flu cycle works every year.
Media got a lot to answer for in the wash up of this hysteria.

Ever wonder why NO ONE under 10 years of age has died from this virus. ??
Why 82% of deaths have been elderly males with pre existing conditions !!
Just wondering. Please dont have a hissy fit at me.

I applaud these Thais who are doing great service in catching farangs on overstay. Farnags think this is his country but it is not. My question is how does others know he is on overstay unless he talks to vilagers how easy to hide in rural areas without police permission (that is what Thais think of Immigration).
Overstay yes.
But really and honestly what harm was he doing.
Not costing Thailand anything and presumably spending his pension here.
Harmless bloke in my opinion.

The only thing I have found that not only kills geckos, but really turns them off, and gets them to move on is insect spray. I have had huge geckos in my home before. They are hard to catch. I sprayed them directly on the face with an ample amount of insect spray, and it seemed to really dull them and slow them down. I was then able to clobber them, and exterminate them. It also helps to lead them either out of the house, or in a direction where they can be captured. The spray will kill smaller geckos if you use enough of it. It also seems to be a bit of a deterrent, as they seem to really hate the smell of the stuff.
Of course you do realize you will never win the lotto .

Burn the house down and move on friend! Why should she enjoy it with other men while you have to find another place to live?
Make a example for the other Thai "ladies" of what happens you take a farang for a ride!!
Now we get the advice we were all waiting for.
Petrol and matches . End of problem. Move on , nothing to see here sir.

Each morning I take 3 tablespoons of Apple Cider vinegar in a glass of water.
Each evening i take 2 teaspoons of metamucil in a glass of water .
Why do YOU take cider vinegar every day?
IMO give up the Metamucil and eat more fresh vegetables. Dependence on any non natural substance is never a good idea, and probably costs more than vegetables, which are also good for you.
Sex is probably the best thing to do to keep fit. Assuming one lasts longer than 5 minutes.
I have been on the Apple Cider vinegar for about 10 years.
I read once it is a liver tonic .
Doesn't seem to hurt me .
Remember what works for one may not work for another.
Same as the Metamucil. Why stop something that works . Just my situation.
I usually have a minimum of two good bowel movements a day and feel like i been on hols after the event ( sorry if its dinner time )
And my cholesterol, blood pressure and heart rate is normal for my weight and age.

Erectile dysfunction is also known as brewer's droop. I suppose it depends on which addiction is regarded as more important.
Prolonged alcohol intake will almost invariably result in cirrhosis of the liver. Cirrhosis is irreversible. Its health effects only appear gradually. It is particularly dangerous to combine alcohol with paracetamol, a common painkiller.
If the OP has been having 4 cans of beer, day in, day out for the last 20 years, IMHO he is borderline alcoholic.
On a personal level, I've found my general sense of well-being has improved by restricting my alcohol intake to weekends only.
Good post mate.
Yes I been having the 4 cans for at least that long.
Remembering I am 70.
I usually manage to get my leg over at least once a week.
Sometimes I gobble down a Cialis happy pill ( dont tell the missus but ) and she is happy thinking she gets my attention. Dont knock it . It works for me .
And . No brewers droop here my friend . The Cialis gives a bit of extra ooommph , if ya get my drift.

Sounds like a pretty healthy lifestyle to me. Possibly modesty prevented you from explaining how many times a week you get it on with your Mrs.
As a small experiment, I recommend you try the following - abstain from alcohol during the weekdays, drink your normal quotient over the weekends.
You may also want to try Thai massage 2-3 times a week to improve flexibility. One hour only, start bow-bow.
You are fortunate to have avoided medication thus far. Doctors here are far too fond of throwing pills at patients.
Everything I like is either improper, illegal or fattening.
By gee I love that saying
" Everything i like is either improper , illegal or fattening "
I'm going to muse over that every day. It is me to a tee.
Thanks

Seems the people that I know who bike a lot are quite fit... Good for you for being healthy and in good shape at 70...
You forgot to mention proud. Many of the people who have health issues are not genetically well mapped or have had accidents. I have had many friends die in their 40s and 50s... they were nice people.
Enjoy your health.
Very good point
Proud yes we all should be
Thank you for your positive reply

Since you made it to 70 and in apparent good health it's hard to fault anything you are doing although one thing I would suggest would be to cut out those 4 daily beers. I'm 73 and consider myself in pretty good shape too. I walk 2 hours per day, about 12 km, eat lots of salad and fruit, no red meat and try to limit fried foods. Exercise and diet are a big factor to good health.
Cutting the 4 beers could be hard .
The missus spends heaps on make up etc . I asked her why ..She said to make me look beautiful for you darling ... I said no need ...After my 4 beers you always look beautiful .
Me and the dog been a bit hungry lately in the kennel.

That should be sight I thought - a minor misspelling. Then I thought, wait a minute, I am on the computer, like millions of others, at least 5 hours a day. Doing what? Exactly. Site seeing. Awesome, yee haa, woo hoo.
Back to the OP. Good on you. You sound incredibly fit, I would say more so than the average 70 year old.
A lot of health issues are from the mind though. I met a gentleman recently from Norway who knocked me over when he said he was a retired 69 year old. He didn't look a day over 45.
Then I figured, yep, Norway, Scandinavian high-taxation socialist utopia. Health insurance worries? No. Education costs? Zip. Unemployment fears? Fully covered. Old age concerns? See health insurance. Crime? Low. Why? See all of the above.
Peace of mind, the lack of which wreaks havoc on the body as can be seen from the average older American who looks like he's looking for the nearest place to lay down and die.
Peace of mind
Well done , encompasses the situation . Thanks

Yes I think you are about normal but maybe you worry too much
Why do you think I worry too much ???
Just making statements about my situation and asking what others do .
Would you care to elaborate ?

I think to some extent that your lifestyle can be a little irrelevant when you reach 3 score years + 10. You can be healthy but suddenly have a nasty fall or accident and you will be worse than your similar age neighbour who hasn't cycled since he was a teenager and drinks 20 cans per night.
Cant agree with you my friend.
Irrelevant lifestyle choices at 70 ???
I think you must worry about the "what if " , rather than the " how lucky I am to make it this far , now whats next "
