  1. They changed again??? <deleted>....When I was there, they wanted me to get a letter from the landlord from apartment or hotel stating that I was staying there and that I was of good character, not causing any problems etc etc. And my visa was expiring like next day, luckily I knew one of the officer in the department and had to end up paying 3000b but it was worth it as I wasn't about to go go back and forth and as usual the hotel will take forever to give me letter.

    I had to also get a letter from my condo manager saying I Iived there, even I own the condo. It was no big deal, no good fighting it. Find out the rules and just follow them, then it is usually plain sailing.

  2. Hello,

    Sorry to ask this but I can't find a clear reply.

    Is it easier to get a SETV than METV ?

    For SINGLE entry you just need to pay (not flight ticket required?) , but for MULTIPLE you have to show that you have money and a job ?

    Any experience of someone who got a METV without having any evidence that he is working (family business paid cash...) ? I can show money but no document :-)

    Thank you for your help.

    I think it all depends on the country you are in.

    For example, in Canada we do not have to show any proof that we are working. I am retired anyway so what would I do. Of course it is easy enough to know something up yourself.

    I have noticed countries like UK and Netherlands have more strict requirements

  3. I have my METV visa (arrived today), expiry date is Jan-5-2017

    I will go to KL and back to Thai on Dec-16-2016. Will I get another 2 months from the Dec-16 date to take me to sometime Feb-2017?

    Thanks;

    Yes, you will. Extendable by another 30 days....

    @DUS, to be clear, won't aprevans also have to depart at least two times prior to then, since stays are limited to 60 days (plus potential 30-day paid extensions each time)?

    That may be implicitly understood by the poster, just verifying.

    OP asked if he will get another 2 months (+30) if he enters Thailand on 16 Dec and the answer to this question is "Yes, he wiil."

    We have no info on his travel itinerary other than he will travel from KUL to Thailand in Dec. So, if in LOS already, he already has plans to leave TH at least once.

    Yes I will leave in August and October of course per my 60 day requirement. I go to KL for a final time in December
