  1. You could spend a lifetime photographing derelict buildings in Thailand. Especially since Covid.
  2. Oh i didn't see that little caveat at the bottom . I am from one of those countries and i do remember now seeing some info about them not providing the POI any more . So the simple option looks like #1 . #3 looks much more complicated and risky . Thanks.
  3. I am looking at moving to Thailand and while reading the financial requirements on the Thai Embassy.com page there are 3 options . My question is about the last option . If one has say a pension that provides , for example , 500,00 THB / year in your home country , representing annual income , then are you only required to have a Thai Bank acc with a regular balance of 300,000 ? Financial Requirements are as follows: Thai Bank Account showing THB 800,000 or Monthly income of at least THB 65,000 (income affidavit from your embassy in Bangkok) or Combination (Bank Account + Annual Income = THB 800,000)
  4. Its not nonsense. Rips generally dont drag you down they drag you out . A strong swimmer will know to swim across a rip . Poor swimmers will try to swim against the rip , get tired , panic and drown under the waves or drown from exhaustion if no help arrives .
  5. If you were a dishonest type and found a wallet and it contained 6-7k Baht , why wouldn't you just take the lot and throw the wallet away !!? Going to the trouble of returning the wallet to the police station with 1k in it just doesn't make sense ,......well to a rational and logically minded individual . How many times can you run this scam in the same area and not have it picked up by the local police ?
  6. I don't know for sure what the Thai law is for pulling out from a side street , but it was explained to me years ago that Thais believe if you are on the main road then it's your responsibility to avoid vehicles pulling out from side streets as you have a better view of what's happening . I don't know if this is true but it terrifies me to think it's possible . Very sad for the 83 yo involved .
