I don't know about the value, but the property is in Westminster (street sign on the building), less than 200m from Hyde Park (Google maps)

Yes but the point is the building has an address which any journalist who isn’t a complete numpty would be able to find pretty easily. But hey don’t let a little thing like accuracy and facts get in the way of a news story!!

    Not at all.

The little snitch with the camera is part of a growing trend in Thailand.

You see what he did was all about his 5 minutes of fame on the internet.

instead of informing the cabin crew of the silly passengers actions.

But the amount of outrage on this thread is a kin to a bunch of 12 year old school girls.

Get a life you outraged school girls.

Spot on quake - was that 12 year old girls or year 12 girls 😂

The biggest lie, is continuing claiming  7. October as a start of this conflict! It was just the results of decades of suppressing people with violence, bombing, unjustified revenge,  taking away peoples rights as individuals, being punished for neighbour's actions,  braking international laws, and all this while the international community with power watching and do nothing.

Tired of listening to excuses and defending war crimes.

And yes, this conflict is much closer to all of us than any other conflict in the region, because this is not an civil war, this is an superpower against a poor defenseless part, where the children and women suffers more than any others. And we support them with weapons, and also made them a nuclear war nation with help from UK and Norway!

They have no territory to hide or defend themselves from!

Just tired of reading BS from the same Israel apologist over and over, with no what so ever empathy, and say it could had been different, if ,,,,,,, they didnt attack 7. october, but no, 7. october didnt change anything, it just escalated the process!

Well unfortunate Hamas have succeeded, they have the world attention now, even it was a suicide! A suicide hard to understand,

We all understand the complexity of this conflict, we understand the jews fighting for their existence, and we understand those behind 7. October must pay for what they did, and we also understand, Hamas have to lay down their weapons, and surrender! But thats not happening, instead Israel choose to kill civilians!

Our voice will hopefully be heard, and the international community will listen, and makes things happen!

But, as long Usa use their veto right, then, nothing is going to happen!

Tired of reading garbage like this from unknowledgeable Islamic terrorist apologists. Jews were living on that land 3000 years before there was a Muslim religion copied from christianity.

jews will never and should never give up that land or they’ll be treated like the Armenians the Koptics and the Kurds

Apparently they don't want or need criminal's money.  It's easy enough to stay in TH a very long time.  Simply follow the rules, especially @ 50+ yrs old.

If they are violating the imm laws, what else are they doing ?  Working, taking employment from locals who need it, or criminal activity to support themselves.

We all seem to dislike criminal immigrants & tourist in our home country, but for seem reason, have compassion for them here ... :giggle:

the German guy was possibly my so used to seeing illegal im migrants in his own country that he didn’t realize it was a crime!!!

Immigration Bureau officers from Krabi arrested a 51-year-old German national identified as Mr Manuel on Ko Lanta on Monday, December 18th. He faces prosecution for a 5-month visa overstay and deportation.

Local police in Krabi confirm a national crackdown on overstaying tourists is underway. A heartbroken German, drowning his sorrows in beer, was arrested on Ko Lanta after being spurned in love. He is among the first to be detained. Immigration’s festive blitz is underway targeting boisterous drinkers.

Immigration police have launched another national crackdown targeting visa overstayers and most especially foreign tourists overindulging in alcohol in the runup to Christmas and the New Year. On Monday, a 51-year-old German man drowned his sorrows after suffering rejection in love on the island of Ko Lanta. Later, he was nabbed after a tip-off to Krabi Police from locals.

It was a case of Murphy’s law, for a 51-year-old German tourist on Monday. The European found himself amid a pre-Christmas nightmare on December 18th on Ko Lanta, the picturesque island in Southern Thailand, near Krabi.

Previously, the unlucky foreigner, whose visa expired five months ago, set off from the notorious resort city of Pattaya seeking love and reconciliation with his estranged Thai girlfriend in Krabi. He had high hopes.

In a joint operation, local authorities, in collaboration with the police, conducted a surprise raid on a Tomboy bar in Pattaya, discovering over a hundred tourists violating closing time regulations. Upon urine tests, 18 individuals tested positive for drug use, leading to legal action.

On December 7th, Mr. Pissit Sutthasindunakorn, the district chief of Bang Lamung, instructed Ms. Kamolchanok Konsombat, the deputy district chief, to lead a team of local officials and police to raid the 4 Step Tomboy bar on Pattaya South Road in Nong Prue, Bang Lamung District, Chonburi. The authorities successfully controlled and apprehended all 17 tourists and staff present, reported Daily News.

Additionally, they found substances resembling drugs packaged in numerous zip-lock plastic bags, which were collected as evidence.

The operation followed public complaints about the bar operating beyond legal hours and allegations of drug use on the premises. Upon arrival, authorities encountered over 100 people dancing to music.

After instructing the closure of the establishment and separating men and women, a thorough inspection revealed plastic bags containing drugs on the floor and in trash bins. Subsequent urine tests showed that 18 individuals, 9 men and 8 women, had purple-colored urine. As the investigation unfolds, authorities are looking into charges to proceed with legal action.

What are you talking about?  Your wife's UK visa has nothing to do with nationals of other countries wanting to enter Thailand having to prove their income and where it came from, which is what the poster to whom I responded suggested should be the case for Nigerians.

It has everything to do with any national wanting to enter any country and the conditions of doing so

Then you need to add in 2 retirement visas through Immigration, any transport costs. hire or buy a car, unless the resort has its own fleet of vehicles and drivers.

90 day reports to immigration unless you can do it inline.

    Perhaps a pc, tablet etc.

2 mobile smart phones with international connection apps.

If you want English food you can probably order it at the resort, alternatively there are British food shop online.

Medicines, doctors and hospital fees. You will pay farang prices for sure. Not to forget that at their age they will need health insurance, which unless they already have it, and it can be extended. will be expensive and hard to find.

Also, if they are honest and declare that they now live in Thailand, their pension will be frozen.

All little things that I have not seen mentioned in the thread so far.

But the little things add up.

They will have, at least IMO, a better and more comfortable life than in damp and dreary UK. Life will be better for them.

So much  xenophobia. I wonder if my beautiful Thai kids are described this way with Thais with their British surname? By your rationale, are they not Thai with a British surname?

Are they not British cause they look somewhat Asian?

When they go to Britain, will they be accepted by your ilk?

My Thai wife has my surname - she’s excepted over here - in uk - but then she’s not part of a race or religion that feels it needs to exert its authority over other people
