The original post was too long to read in full. But it seems to me that if you intend to spend a lot of time in Thailand, you had better get used to this sort of thing by adjusting your attitude. That's what I have done - otherwise I would long ago have had a massive thrombo.

And you can write and speak perfect Thai?
Not everyone has English as their first language - just ease up a little.
I only correct native English speakers, which he obviously is if you look at his comment history. I would never do it to an English-as-a-second-language commenter; anyone who can speak/write more than one language gets nothing but respect and admiration from me.

Wrong.
The word "its" when used as a possessive is the exception.
An easy way to spot pretentious fools is to monitor their grammar. A common mistake these guys make is to use "ones" as a possessive and miss the apostrophe.
They use "one" and "ones" in the hope it'll make them look clever or educated; the truth is that it makes them look rather silly and lacking.
You are correct sir. Thanks for the info. P.S. - Between you and I (sic), "pretentious fools" is a little harsh.

Dropping apostrophes. It damages our reputation beyond repair.
Awful habit!
Apostrophes are not needed for possessive pronouns like its and ones.
