  1. I am glad now I decided to stay in the Philippines, people don't fall out of hotel windows here, wherever you go they speak at least a little english. In general the people are polite friendly and very willing to share.

Of course there is a bad element here, its not paradise on earth.

But it's easier to live here as a foreigner.

The visa situation is easy keep renewing you tourist visa for 36 months leave the country for 24 hours and return start it all over again.

  2. If there were no takers for young girls, no men buying sex then there would be no sex industry, every man that has come to Thailand and bought the services of a girl is guilty, they should have raided the place sealed all exits find out who paid for who then prosecute the men, that were with underage girls. They return home and put on the sex offenders list. It might kill the sex tourist industry a bit but does that matter? The men that frequent and pay for sex should be disuaded from using prostitutes, Thailand is associated with sex tourism. Pattaya, Bankok and other places are just seedy and I am not surprised farangs are picked on they bring g the whole country down with there lust for cheap and young sex.

It's the demand that fuels the supply, make it very risky to avail yourself of these girls, and boys then the sex industry will falter.

Those Filipinos have been doing this for many years, and they're never

short of victims,  it's a very well know scam and anyone falls for it deserve

to be fleeced of his money......

No one deserves to be fleeced of their money, you have heard of this before, good for you, but I most certainly haven't and would guess thousands of others have not heard of this. Don't be so pompous.

  4. At no time did you see the girl actually show her breasts, and you never saw him give the fake money. It's not an offence to carry fake money, only if you actually try to purchase something, at the actual moment  we expect to see the girl expose herself and money change hands the camera went all over the place and the sound went off. Now try to prove in court without any doubt that money (fake) changed hands.

Pattaya in my mind is an absolute dump, seedy, awful men chasing cheap p***y. Got no idea how you could ruin that awful reputation.

  5. If you have been in business internationally you have probably done business with mafia type businesses, it's word wide every single country in the world has this. Thousands of ordinary people do business every day with organised groups, and never even know it. Before into an argument with the wrong person, not saying he was a saint, but you can't just say he was part of an organised group either. Sometimes you just don't know who you are dealing with if it was an organisation responsible, I very much doubt if they will ever find out who did it. Feel sorry for the guy. As said before I  hope he made his family secure

  6. Trump should look at his own actions, in the UK he wanted to build an exclusive golf club on a wildlife reserve, the was a big public reaction against his proposal but he just sideswiped local objections , somehow got permission to build a golf club that no one wants, he is a bully self centered uncaring bar steward. He wants to isolate USA from the world market? Go ahead, American products are good but too expensive  abroad. They have been producing gas guzzling cars that the rest of the world don't want. More and more Japanese cars have been imported to USA why? Because they a super reliable very economical. So throw out the japs charge 35% to companies that have gone abroad. Many Americans will go bust then do you think?

Whach your prices go sky. Unfortunately it's a global market pull out of that and you are in for an extremely hard time.

Get tough on immigration especially from some countries I totally agree with have to admit. But as a man I really don't like him . But time will tell.

Sometimes I get the feeling that Some Americans think that the world revolves around the USA and some countries follow like blind puppies, UK being one. Where USA pulls out other countries will step in. I live in the Philippines, and Du30 has told USA he will not be a puppet on USA, there are some similarities between the two presidents, but the great American dream has become a bit of a nightmare really. But let's just see what happens, tough rocky road ahead I feel

  7. The pound has dropped like a stone since brexit, Thailand can't change the exchange rate. At the moment it's 43.77 that's not good. In Philippines. Before brexit I was getting 68 now 60, makes a big difference. As an outsider who was considering coming there to live, there are several things that deter me from coming even for a visit.

1 the amount of violence there seems towards foreigners (pattaya especially) the amount of so called suicides, a man travels half way round the world just to strip naked and jump off a balcony, go swimming tie yourself to a post and cut your own throat. Hmmmm doesn't look good does it

2 being ripped off at every turn, motorbike hire, jet ski hire, etc  etc etc, I thought Philippines was bad enough but Thailand takes the biscuit.

3 prices going up and up but exchange rate falling  like a lead balloon. Nothing will change people perception of Thailand very quickly, a tourist goes to Thailand his whole family is attacked by a gang of youths gran is kicked in the head after being beaten to the ground, bad news travels fast, Thailand has Alyssa had the reputation for being the sex capital of the world, now it's getting expensive, even worse getting dangerous. When all this stops, slowly but very slowly they might start coming back.

I have had people on this site tell me how they view Philippines, scams bar girls etc. It's got a bad reputation, but in fact it's not that bad here as a tourist or an expat, but the reputation lingers on.
