  1. In 25 years of problems, only one ladyaybe 3 years ago answered all my questions perfectly in the order I wrote them. I sent a thank you message them never heard from her again despite address email and airmail to her. Lack of continuity was their major downfall.
  2. Yes, ditto about removing all the MyCSP information. That said, the one time I was able to read all 3 columns once I was fully logged in, I noticed my wife's name on the nominated after death entry. I clicked on that to look for any further information then they suddenly locked me out saying I used the wrong password 3 times. That's ridiculous as I had already opened many pages to get as far as I had. They added that I needed to contact a person who would sign me back in. But, I didn't know how to do that so I sent a note using the contact link. Obviously no answer to that either. I wrote to the Cabinet Office with my complaint that they hadn't paid me for 5 months. I thought it was appropriate because it was their committee who sacked them. They weren't particularly bothered and referred me to the MyCSP outfit who hadn't answered 15 or so previous emails. They still have tens of thousands of problems and already doubled their workforce. However, if they are the same caliber as their predecessors then the chance of us getting the suggested 3.5% rise is optimistic at least. I must add that previously monthly payments usually arrived 2 days or more after the due date but today I must report that my money was in the Bangkok Bank this morning at 10 am which was the due date. Previously it would have arrived Friday at the earliest.
  3. Absolutely disgusting. The Cabinet Office uncovered 10s of thousands of unanswered emails and phone calls logged with MyCSP and cancelled their contract. I read on that BBC report that Capita also lost a contract because of their poor performance so it appears this situation is beyond repair with only a name change and bad service will continue. Shameful!
  4. No surprise with CAPITA as they also cocked up my pension maybe 15 years ago when they previously ran the show. If you followed my previous story and read any of the numerous complaints about MyCSP then it's not surprising to read they are overwhelmed with the amount of unsettled issues. It took me 2 weeks to register with the CAPITA who have now closed my portal because I used a wrong password. Totally false as the log in details were kept by Google as I'm the only one using my laptop. I managed to find a contact address but no response.y December money actually went in 4 days early and January's is due next Friday. I can only live in hope that it arrives. disgraceful treatment of members approaching 80 years of age.
  5. Make a note of the date as it will probably recur next year
  6. As above, all other YouTube links failed miserably to resolve my issues. I used your link a few hours ago and so far it seems to have cleared up my problems. Thanks very much Frankie, now I can also RELAX .
  7. thanks. I've tried dozens in the pastvweek but will certainly give your suggestion a try
  8. I have spent 2 hours watching videos how to stop flash ads coming on my screen every time I open my OPPO phone. My biggest concern is they even appear on my 2 Thai bank accounts when I am trying to conduct transfers etc. I have deleted any recently added games or recommendations, I have been into so many back up sites and either closed or opened items the websites advise, but I still cannot stop the ads appearing all the time. I had the same on my last phone (POCO made by a n other Chinese outfit) which started the same from day 1. I couldn't stop that one either so put a hammer through it and bought the OPPO 6 months ago. No problem until recently. Any advice other than the YouTube vids would be appreciated.
  9. For anyone still following or interested in my severe problem with MyCSP, I can finally add that it has all been resolved. I had asked them numerous times if my emails went to Liverpool or Cheadle as I may have been able to get my nephew to call in their office to chase things up. No response to those emails either. I received one email asking why I hadn't completed/returned their Declaration of Entitlement form which I hadn't received. Again they had probably sent the original to the wrong or incomplete address. I have no utility bills in my name or in English so I had the local Chief of Immigration Police to witness the form and included 5 other documents to confirm I was still breathing. No response from them again so I sent a registered air mail letter to their CEO a Duncan Watson asking him why my pension was apparently suspended and gave him brief details. I asked him to reply to my email --- which he didn't. So I continued sending more emails until suddenly on Sunday afternoon 12 days ago I received an email containing 3 apologies for being inadvertently blocked and they would reinstate my payments immediately and the outstanding (now 4 months) monies would be in my nominated account within 3 working days. However, it wasn't but it did appear on my portal yesterday afternoon around 1.00 o'clock. I will wait until 10.30 tomorrow to see if it reaches my Bangkok Bank Account. I have checked with them if they accept a 6 figure transfer and they said no problems. Finally, the letter apologising for their major cock ups came from this email address. I had never used this one before but it may be of use to others and for me during their next major catastrophe. [email protected]
  10. Cheers for that
  11. Thanks for the info. I used WISE for 10 years until Barclays closed my account. Now MyCSP send it direct (I believe using an American outfit) and it arrives 2 days later usually around 50 satang under the exchange rate. I will look at WISE once things get back to normal --- if ever.
  12. I wish I could say the same. Thanks anyway and I'll send them yet another email.
  13. Thanks for that. Did you contact them first?
  14. When I first posted this topic a few weeks ago, I was unsure which forum to use and the moderators moved it anyway. For this entry, I would like it to stay here in General Topics as there are 1.4 million readers or whatever and I want to reach as many Brits as possible. If you are affected by the above heading then I have only have one further question to ask. I think everybody who is affected by it will already know that the MyCSP staff have extended their strike action at least until the 9/November. I would like to hear either on open forum or personal email from any member who has managed to receive any pension payments since their action began and how you were able to contact them to persuaded them to pay. Probably the same as others but, my last payment was in June so by next week they will have withheld 3 months of payments. Normally this would not be a problem but we already have local builders waiting for the rain to stop then they will do a fair amount of work for us. Next month I will need to cut into this money I had set aside or get into my serious savings. Any information would be greatly appreciated.
  15. Once again I need to clarify my original reason for posting. I was referring to the now all-too-common Internet ads showing foreigners smiling and holding up driving licences. The companies running the ads are assuring common folk that they will obtain full licences on their behalf for a measly 2,500 thb or similar. After posting and receiving some great answers and private emails, I have concluded these are indeed scams. I don't know about agencies who take you to the driving centres and help you pass, but I've had full Thai licences for 24 years and now getting too old and lazy to go through the formal channels. That said, I'm off to Immigration on Monday so will probably get the necessary paperwork from them and then decide. I think it's time to close this posting as we seem to be going over the same things. Thanks for all the replies.
  16. In BigC Yasothon yesterday they were 60 baht for different shaped cans. But I bought 2 anyway. The promo may reach here eventually.
  17. I've just checked online that my local BigC, which is almost 20 km from home, have them at double the 34.5 price at 69. It's pouring with rain so I may decide to take a run down there and look at any other promos.
  18. Here is an update so everyone now knows the answer. It's as others have guessed and/or suggested.
  19. 4 years ago we had these exact same decisions and eventually went for the wooden one. I don't know about the prefab type but you are a few Km from Udon so they would either chose to live on site or you would need to pay for their extensive travel. Our builders were about 60 kms from the site but the whole house was built there and they brought it here on 3 trucks and assembled it all over 2 days and that was that. We always intended the house to be 2 storey but that's were it all got a little more expensive and drawn out. I can give you loads more personal experiences it you would like me to send you a personal email.
  20. Sorry I didn't make it clear. To be honest, just laziness. My first full Thai license was from 2000 and I had it extended at 2 different offices. It expired a good few years ago and we are now at our new address. I'm off to the Immigration Office in a few weeks so I'll probably end up renewing it the correct way.
  21. Thanks, I know what to do officially, but I was thinking about cutting corners and through all the red tape.
  22. I thought it was earlier than 2014 by quite a few years. However, I did have something else to add but I'll do that by personal email if that's OK once I get home.
  23. Whoever they work for, I guarantee their work protocols, efficiencies etc won't change or improve one iota.
