Depends on where you live...if you are stuck in Isan, Northerm Thailand or rural areas, you have no choice but to learn the local language. Bangkok, Samui, Pattaya, Phuket, and almost the entire Andaman coast, English is widely spoken and foreigners aren't motivated to learn Thai.

I have definitely noticed a pattern emerging:
The places were I play the dumb farang on holiday welcome me with open arms every time,
the places that know the real me start to become more aloof and even (i think) dislike me after my 4 or 5th visit.
90% of your posts are total crap but have to agree with you on this one 😉

Back in Phuket, an Italian neighbor has been operating an illegal bike rental biz without problems. In the nearby vicinity, there are Russians operating car rentals, the Russian employee sitting behind the counter and taking bookings while authorities don't give a sh$t.

Was here at Koh Yao Yai in April 2021 for my birthday. Covid time, me and the wife were the only people at the beach....good old times.

Great. For citizens of other countries who don't enjoy this privilege, all you have to do is to assault Thai Police and Immigration officers, and voila, enjoy visa free visits in the future. Love this country.

The normal immigration process at the checkpoint for Malaysians arriving by car takes about two hours, which causes bottlenecks at busy times.
In this day and age, still takes hours to clear. The first time I crossed this border point by car was back in 1993. Took 10-15 minutes for clearance.

I'm in that region at present, they look down on Asian people a lot, most of all Indians.
Funny. And yet entire world look down at Arabs, the worst race that is.

Thai passport holders have only their corrupt government to thank for being treated as outcasts by the EU, USA, etc. Even the nearest neighbor Malaysia enjoyed EU visa-free privileges for the past 20 years. Not to mention $hithole countries like Colombia, Mexico, Venezuela, Salvador, Honduras, Guatemala, Albania, etc.

I don't think you know what paedophilia is to make such an assumption.........................????
Keep telling that to yourself. If your 15-16 year old daughter gets in same predicament you would sing entirely different tune. Sick degenerate.

Time to close down Fakebook and TikTok.
Too many scams originate there.
Both are very poorly monitored/censored.
Use your brain and just a bit of common sense before posting a claptrap.

It's hard to believe such a big waterfall can go dry. Here are some good old times, filmed in January and July respectively.
