  1. When I was in Paris I told my kids too many cars can't cross the street so we visit the other side the next time we come to Paris.

I will have to do the same in Thailand. Or go out in the early morning when the traffic is quiet and not too busy.

Yes, I must agree Chinese do behave differently. They don't seem to sense danger at all that explains why they did what they did, e.g. talking on the phone while crossing a fasting moving traffic on the street not even looking and concentrate on talking on the phone, amazing.

Thai government should print leaflet and give them out to Chinese Tourists after they stamp their passport. Leaflet says "Please stay Alive while in Thailand" and clear pictures show accidents on the road pedestrains run over by cars and buses.

  2. I am not qualify to speak on health subject because I don't have a MD behind my name. Nevertheless I like to comment on this issue. If you stop eating wheat products or reduce them to the very minimal it may bring your weight down. Rice and other grains too. You need to eat lots of vegetable and I mean lots and lots of veggie, also fish and meat to replace the missing wheat products and lots of butter and fats(not vegetable fats like palm oil or soya bean oil) The fats keep you from hunger. But check your blood for cholesterol .

May be if you watch "Dr William Davis " on youtube you get some ideas from there too. He wrote a book called "Wheat Belly" . He sounds convincing.

I think Vegetable fats are just as harmful as animal fats (lard or beef fats). Anyone knows any alternative? Vegetable fats are just transfat aren't they? And they are worst than animal fat when hydrogenated (that's transfatty acid)

When I follow the above diet I lose weight by the week, so that is fast, no exercises needed. I think exercises may speed up the weight loss faster I haven't tried yet.

I cannot go on a juicing diet, i get too hungry all the time.

No. She is a character in a well known UK nursery rhyme who lived in a cupboard. Brit farangs will appreciate (I hope)

Much appreciated your telling me this character in UK nursery rhyme. So kids get wild imaginations with character like this living in a cupboard.

I remember they did away with the ending phrase "The prince and princess lived happily ever after" because they said the kids get the wrong message that life would be like that in reality. Giving wrong idea to kids is considered bad. I guess it's true isn't it?

    Thanks Burma Bill .

What on earth are you on about? ????

Strangely though, I just saw the video report for Pattaya where a ceremony was held by women to get rid of the evil spirit that was taking the lives of their menfolk!

jack i am old and my memory is taking leave without telling me so I made mistake this comment was supposed to be on the "evil spirit taking the lives of their menfolk".  See what happened was I read that and then I went on to read this lady died in a cupboard while my mind still on the other comment. And I started to reply . See what I meant?

I fear I would one day use the public toilet and wouldn't be able to get out because I forgot how to unlock the door. I would be banging on the door to ask someone to let me out. I can speak Thai so I would be shouting out loud to ask someone to open the door and thais people outside couldn't figure out what is going on. When you lose your memory everything is gone life becomes meaningless. You are not connected to anything anymore. I may have to leave earlier than I thought (you understand me?)

I suggest that to be a lazy determination.

Sometimes the police are quick to presume natural causes or suicide in circumstances that seem to contradict it. Young women of 25-30 do not often die of natural causes.

Better to wait for the autopsy.

Often young Thais men working overseas died in their sleep as reported. They believe "Succubus" came and did blowjob on the young men and they died in their sleep. Sperm and blood all sucked out by the Succubus. Honestly just asked the Thais.

Even the Chinese in old days believed that. Chinese even have a literature on this woman spirit said to come from a fox. Victims became very weak and thin and would eventually died of illness.

When communist took over China in 1957 they did away with all the old wives tales and educate the young people on science. So Succubus died a natural death in China. In Thailand she is very much alive and come in the form of a dead widow.

  6. When I was in Chiang Mai 30 years ago everything was fine. Not much fighting in bar. Not many ladyboys . Going around on bicycle was very very exhilarating and healthy because the air was clean then.

After watching the videos I couldn't understand why those motorbikes didn't slow down when they could see other vehicles in front of them . They seems to go straight ahead without even slowing down. They have very low IQ apparently.

People with low IQ shouldn't be allow to go on motorbikes. An IQ test is required before a motorbike license is issued.

China is a member of Interpol and has an extradition treaty with Thailand.

    Should be interesting.

One police state protecting another police state. China wants more power. Yingluck said when we get back in power we will make sure you get your power. Power is everything in this modern day games of throne.

The OP and some farangs like him prefer Thai girls with darker skin.  That's actually well known within the Thai community. The thing is, the Thai girls he speaks of are not trying to be attractive for him.  They're really not interested in his preference.  They only care about the beauty standards within the Thai community....which is about trying to look more like Koreans, Japanese, Chinese...

No. Just the teachings of how not to be labelled as a sucker for all eternity.

    KP.

If that is the case Jesus must be a sucker too since he being the son of God allowed himself to be nailed to the tree to save human kind.

I find myself reluctant to say your advice is very damaging. Of course your not being aware of it makes you happy.

It's a sad fact of life that nice guys finish last. It sounds like she has taken you for a ride due to your openness and sincerity.

The golden rule whilst dating a Thai girl from any social/economic background is to let them know who's boss. If you don't stamp your authority on the relationship early on, then she will see you as a door mat and use you as she sees fit.

Lay down the law early on, grow a pair and show her you mean business. In your case it's already too late. DO NOT take her back. No forgiveness. She will cheat on you again and again because you did not safe guard yourself early on.

Find someone else and use the above as a guide for future interactions with Thai girls.

    KP.

Is that advice based on the teaching of Che Guevara? Or on Proletariat meeting.(workers union meeting perhaps)

  11. Even as a kid I had already decided not to take extra marital affairs too seriously that was because I saw my mum really made life miserable for her kids when my father was screwing around. She wasn't happy the whole atmosphere was toxic to say the least. The kids just suffered in silence.

I wonder what would happen after you married you found yourself committing adultery. Not because you want revenge it just happen that you fall in love with another woman. If anything life is full of uncertainty.

I know the feeling that arise in you when just before marriage you found out she was unfaithful. But life is an ongoing process as you grow older in later life you will find true love overcomes all human weakness.

If I really love the woman I would marry her even if she did me wrong.

Your question is a question of your thoughts on life not what I or anyone say in this forum.

Magnanimous and all forgiving is good. It comes back to you.

This guy didn't have anything to lose. I wouldn't try saving a drowning person. It's too dangerous.

A drowning person will drag you down with them.

I was instructed during my boy scout days (13 years old) to approach a drowning man from behind if possible and if he struggle or try to grap you to punch him right in the face so he will relax and you drag him by his hair. Doesn't matter if he drinks a lot of water that will be dealt with later.
