I am currently working for a transnational IT company in the UK. Many of my colleagues work over the internet from their homes and I would like to do this; I have owned a condo in central Bangkok for several years. My company is amenable to this idea but want to know how to pay me and remain within Thai law. I know lots of people do this kind of thing on the quiet but how would I set about this officially. When I return to Thailand in a few weeks it will be initially on a tourist visa. Any suggestions?
TIA

From my reading it seems that you have as many entries as you like in Thailand but can only spend a total of 90 days here in a six-month period. Thus when you turn up at the border, they will count up the number of days you've spent here in the last six months.
Do you think they have notified the airlines. Most carriers won't take you if there is any chance you might get bounced at immigration because then they are responsible for repatriating you and they don't like that. So when you check-in at Heathrow, or wherever, the girl is going to have to examine every stamp in your passport and do the arithmetic. On top of the current security measures, it is going to take about 10 hours to check-in! Or is this only for land borders?

At this time, it is only VOA's that the crackdown is after.

I have been visiting nearby countries for short holidays and getting three month, single entry visas from the consulate. Does that count as a visa run?

Hi There,
i am looking for linux experts for either work or teaching. The hours can be flexible and the number of hours can be up to you. Good pay.
If you are interested please send your resume to me at [email protected]
Thanks very much for your time.
Hi, I have been using Linux for about 10 years, formerly Red Hat and now Gentoo. I currently live in central Bangkok and would be interested in any work you may have. Not sure about my teaching ability but I could give it a shot if it is informal. I am a British citizen and do not have a work permit, but I guess that can be arranged if necessary.
You can call 0-5132-2487 or email [email protected]
Cheers.
