Hi Man, Woman and Dog
I really enjoyed watching the videos. I have spent time living in Pai and Chiang Mai. I am now in Chiang Rai. Looking forward to seeing your video about this province. There are many interesting places to visit like Doi Mae Salong. Nice to see Thailand portrayed in a positive light for a change.

I just heard this morning and am absolutley devestated. I taught Phil's boys for two years and conversed with him every day. A true gentleman and a true friend. My heart goes out to his children who loved him so much. I feel honored to have him call me a friend.
Rest in Peace Phil I will miss you.

Seems some Westerners are learning quick what to do in the Land of Scams ...
You can hardly pin insurance fraud on the Thai people. Westerners have been doing this sort of thing long before Thailand had even heard of insurance.

We always warn people about the monkeys but in a group of 40 there is always someone who doesn't listen???
Listen to what? that the monkeys will attack you for no reason and savage you?
I tend to think that our idea of a warning and Khun Yongut's are slightly different!
You think thats bad I once got nipped by a clown fish while snorkeling off Koh Lipe nobody warned me. I can't bear to watch Nemo anymore.

The other night as I was crossing the street a Motor bike was coming down the road. I could hardly see it's head lite as they had the helmet in the basket in front of it.
The other day as I waited in my doctor's office on a main highway I watched as the police had a road block rite outside it. They seemed to have no system to what they were doing. Many motor bikes were stopped for no visual reason. Often a helmet less rider would go by while they had some one with a helmet stopped. There was no discernible pattern to what they were doing.
In Chiang Mai they are often trying to catch Tai Yai migrant workers who are at present forbidden to drive or own a motorbike. The fine 2000 baht. The bike is confiscated until they pay. This happened to my wife and the policeman in the station proudly boasted that they do this every month in his words "they earn 4000 and have to pay us 2000"
luckily this is ending now due to the new passport scheme which will allow legal migrant workers to apply for a license.
