As well all know Thai bar girls are much better at planning for the future....
Yes that is true.
Not that I have ever been to a bar in Thailand. I am here for the temples.

This is sooooooooo difficult.
But wait.
What the OP wants is what in soccer terms is called an "assist"?

Western women - like all women - are not able to make plans.

yeah sure thats true. some of it was getting comical. I don't own the thread so people can do whatever they want. The only thing that differentiates it from the lies we tell ourselves thread is the interaction and relation between one post the next. So it is a mix of the lies we tell ourself thread with sort of the word association thread going together. The idea is to somehow get it going in verses. at the end the whole thread would make for an amusing thread that would come off like one guy rambling on continously about his life in Thailand.
I agree 100% with you.
BUT.......
Is this a valid reply?

You of all people should understand the value of a completely contrived thread with all the conditions and disclaimers written in the OP. The fact you supposedly have me on ignore makes this a great post in a thread of contradictions. lol
Oh the contradiction is the diet coke. You are supposed to jusy give a line and let the next person contradict it. please read the op lol
The thread might last longer if we were allowed to give an opinion & also the contradiction.
Something like:
I respect Thai culture very much, but I come from a developed nation, so......

There are some striking resemblances (good and bad) between the social security system back home, and the role of the foreign husband in Thailand.

Many posters on this forum seem to have an axe to grind with their home countries.
Sad.

Great idea.
100.000 controllers should do the trick.
Oh - and don't forget to outfit them with a nice uniform.

Hello Fred,
My situation is - of course - different from yours.
I retired and married a Thai woman 9 years ago, and ever since we have been living yearly 6 months in Thailand (the dry cool season) / 6 months in Europe (spring & summer).
That works for me and for my wife.
I could not imagine being happy living in Thailand or Europe full time, both have so much to offer, but also both lack many things.
Maybe an idea for you?

This is the dream of lots of poor Thai girls Farang comes along buys house for them then she kicks them out
Be very careful my friend I have been here 15 years I know
I do not doubt your words. Such things happen a lot.
Now tell us: in those 15 years in Thailand, have you also seen old beer bellies that use their house / wife as a home base for whoring around? Thus asking to be kicked out?

Has anybody actually tried the "guarantee her loan" approach?
With the Thai justice system, I see no point in usufruct or whatever other legal construction - besides - who could live on "hostile land" after a divorce?
Guaranteeing the wife's bank loan, and paying it off over as many years as possible (20?), may be a solution?
A solution based on mutual trust and benefit?

You have some serious reading comprehension issues. I'm dating a Thai girl right now. I'm talking about LONG DISTANCE RELATIONSHIPS. What part of that do you not understand?
The part that I do not understand is how you can give advise on things you have never done?
Such as long distance relationships with Thai women.
Ah, just bash on.

I am truly sorry for you, reading about your misfortunes Berkshire.
But please do not generalize your experiences.
Not all women are bad.
Not all Thai are bad.
Keep an open mind!
BERKSHIRE replied to my post: I've never engaged in a long distance relationship with a Thai girl, or any girl for that matter. What are you talking about?
BERKSHIRE said originally: I would never recommend to a friend--or even a stranger--to engage in a long distance relationship with a Thai girl. Especially if she's young and attractive. You're setting yourself up for a fall. There will always be other men in the shadows. Guaranteed.
In my opinion, BERKSHIRE is just bashing Thais, women, and Thai women in particular - he even admits that he has NO experience with them - he bases himself on hear say.
