Hi, got a non O visa multi entry from Savanakhet last month. I am wanting to convert at local immigration by way of marriage so I don't have to leave every 90 days. Can this be done at any time or does the visa need to be expiring.

Hi, I have just been refused a marriage extension for the second year at Nakhon Ratchasima Immigration. I have a Non O visa issued at Savannakhet by way of marriage. I work for a company in Thailand, pay tax and social security on 40,000b p/m.  Last year and today they told me the 40,000b must come from overseas, not Thailand. Can anyone confirm this or provide up to date info on the documents needed?

Exiting the country to get a new visa would probably cost the same as an agent.

Thanks for everyone's input on this. I've decided to go back next month with 3 months tax evidence and print out the relevant police orders and try again. The current 2 month extension they gave me expires on 10th Dec. Do I have to wait until the 10th or can I try before?

Hi, I went to Immigration today to extend Non O visa obtained in Savan last year. I am married to a Thai, have a Thai child but have had my WP for 2 months so only 2 months tax and SS receipts. We asked for a 2 month extension which would allow us to come back then with 4 months of receipts but we're told by 2 IO that the only way they will extend is for me to have 400,000b in my bank for 2 months or 40,000b income from my home country not Thailand. Can anybody clarify this for me? If this is true what are the options for me to extend through my income made in Thailand.
