No really true anymore.....according to a friend  of mine who works at immigration, all passenger lists at various domestic check ins are crossed checked with a database these days as part of a new system they have.....I cannot verify this but only on comments from my friend at Immigration and also from a few people I know working at AOT security.

Whatever you do...just make sure you have proper plans for an exit strategy just in case...and not resort to the usual jump over the balcony, or carbon dioxide inhalation methods please. The former method by many old farangs really messes up a lot of people and properties and someone should sue the estates of these inconsiderate old farangs.

Just curious, if I am the damaged party and someone calls me a troll online, can I sue them and take criminal action against them?

I know a Indian guy at my neighbourhood that is just a simple middle-class condo project  ie units priced between 3.5 million baht to 5 million baht. He is always dressed in bermudas, a polo shirt and slippers with a simple watch and just a thin gold chain and is always keeping to himself but simple smiles at all and greets everybody politely  and I merely thought that he was simply renting the place. But found it strange that all the staff were afraid of him and were very courteous to him and I thought this was strange until I came across an old magazine that had an article about him saying about the billions he had. Then  found out from the juristic office that the guy had more than 350 units under the same group located in various areas that he rents out. He only has a simple toyota vios but also found out from a fellow neighbour that the Indian guys dines out everyday at various fine restaurants and tips the staff like crazy and that his unit was at the building was a combo of a few units that were done up luxuriously. What I learned from these was that most of the Indians that you see here in Bangkok, though they look simple, they are filthy rich in terms of assets and money!

There is a lot of buzz this morning and now in the evenning on the various thai news networks about thailand's Treasury Reserves being down by 85% from the pre-coup period . Also, some more news that the current levels are even lower. What does this mean and what are the implications. Should we be worried. What currency is best to keep our savings in? Please advice anybody out there.I am not very good in the financial and economic arena.

One of the reasons , most thai females are becoming Tom these days is the shortage of straight thai males.Most thai males these days are simply becoming gay for a varierty of reasons...trend, media influence, economically sound, thai females becoming more demanding and agrressive, loss of feminity in thai females these days, a lot of thai guys are more feminine and attractive. etc.

Oh My God! You farangs are simply so hilarious! Many of you condemn thais and thailand and still stay here. Many of you condemn other races that live here like the Indians, Chinese etc. and yet most of you get screwd or ripped off by your own kind......lol!  Hilarious lot. Me and my thai friends also burst out laughling when discussing about farangs. These days whenever I see one, I simply end up giggling!

At Saphan Kwai, at the area outside of the GSB Bank HQ, the lottery vendors are selling tickets for sought after numbers at Bt 200 each for or Bt 1,000 for a pack of 5, at the food court at paradise park, there is only one thai-chinese seller who sells tickets at Bt 110 to Bt 120 for normal tickets and sought after numbers at Bt 160 per ticket. At the row of shops outside Big C Onnut, tickets are going for between 85 to 90 bt for normal numbers and between Bt 120 to Bt 180 for premium numbers. As far as I am concerned , this governemnt is bullshit! They cannot control the thai vendors.

Notice that over the last few years, the thaivisa members have become more divisive. We have the love thailand group going head on with the hate thailand group, we have the old farang group goings against the farang group, we have the rich farangs going agasinst the poor farang pensioners, wehave the I am married to a thai-chinese going against the I am married to the Isaan group, we have the paedophile groups going against those married to aging mamasans groups, we have those who can spell and write grammartically correct against those who are illiterate....so and so on. Time for all farangs/farlands,/falangs/fur-lings/etc to simply put aside your differences and unite perharps over beer or something. Start loving each other and caring for each other and supporting each other. After all, the tide against all farlangs seems to be rising in Asia these days and one can never know. Hate to see a "Veteran Coup" to put order into the TV society again.....lol!

As a condo owner in various projects in Bangkok ie Rhythm Ratchada, Rhythm Sukhumvit, Rhythm Huay-Kwang, Centric Ratchada, Ideo Sapan Kwai, The Room Lardphrao etc, we have made sure that other owners do not rent out on a daily basis and the appointed juristic bodies have put up signs and we all make it a point to look out beside the appointed staff to make sure that no "arse" owner disobeys and do the same. The reason is for security purposes and also most of the daily renters make use of the common facilities ie the pool etc daily and mess up the common areas.Long term rentals with proper documentation and local police and  immigration notification is ok. We normally have the juristic committee report the matter to the local police or immigartion straigth away first. On the contrary, most of the receptionists are not "dogs" but are there to ensure security and that there are no strange characters up to no good at these buildings ie drug courriers, peodophiles, prostituition rings etc or unscruplous owners up to no good.One thing taht we have also done is to get the staff to check the air bnb sites to see any units listed in our properties and have them reported.

.Things are getting more tough and despite whatever anyone can say, the average thai is having greater economic hardships, this coupled with other factors and the way the authorities are handling issues, makes thais more anti-foreigner in their attitudes. They only want your money , but not you. The crime rates is going up and crimes targetting foreigners are also going up. The authorities are also extremely anti-foreigner in their policies. To cut it short, Thailand is going down and expats really have no future in this country. Start leaving before its too late. Cambodia. Vietnam, Malaysia etc are much more better alternatives despite whatever people can say. The cost of living in thailand is also going up.
