45,000 isn't bad. that's almost equivalent in buying power to what a job pays in the us or uk. well, at least you're living in thailand not some gloomy overcast town. i hate going back "home". it's scary and depressing.

hitler did some real bad things but you can't totally blame him for ww2. the allies deserve plenty of blame. hitler would not have existed without the unfair outcome of ww1. and there were lots of little holocausts done by the allies that were swept under the rug and few know about.

Never mind what the Japanese law enforcement will do, what will the Thai courts do. He is committing a sickening crime in Thailand. Charge in Thai court, send to Thai prison, enjoy your stay in Thailand for the next 40 years (if you live that long).
i don't think these types of activities warrant such serious sentences. even 3 years in jail would be extreme in my opinion.

what's their problem? i don't have a problem with trump. i have a problem with people opposed to trump. if europeans don't like him, fine. i don't have any plans to spend any money in europe anyways.

Just take $50k from them and let em in. If they can pay us enough, they should get a permanent visa. $50,000 x 2 million each year. How much is that? $100 billion a year?

france needs to stop bothering my country about this climate hoax stuff. we are not going to pay for a theory that hasn't even been proven. if france wants to change the climate, they can tax themselves to pay for it all. we are not going to pay for france's unproven theories!

expensive car does not necesarilly equal success. more often than not it means they are in debt up to their eyeballs.

try not to think about money so much and think instead about how to increase your income. this can be done in many ways, even for retired people. having a budget of $1000 a month would still not be enough to generate a western income even if you lived in the cheapest country on earth.

i earned 15,000 baht just last night while i slept. took litterally two hours of effort on my part. i don't think i can do the cheap charlie thing anymore like in the bad old days. i'm just too loaded now. no more mama noodle packs for me.

i try to not think about exchange rates. i have been here when the US$ was at 28 and it hurt. try earning more income instead of worrying. just made 8,000 baht pure profit last night in my sleep with my laptop. took literally 2 hours of my time. most of the time i'm just chilling here doing absolutely nothing.

I had a friend in a similar position but worse than you in that he had less than 40,000 baht a month. You asked for advice and he did also. My advice is get a one way ticket to your home country and get medical care, benefits and a job. Yes a job. Make some money and don’t come back until you have enough money saved. You could find some type of work and have a better life. Good luck.
well, what about being a digital nomad? i'm bringing in 5-10k baht daily here. sky is the limit. i spend just two hours on my macbook each day and "work" is done. don't tell him to go home. tell him to get on that laptop and start earning money.

there's this big myth out there that cambodia and vietnam are bargain destinations. they're not. apartments are actually more expensive there than in thailand.
i'd probably recommend guys on a low budget to head to the philippines these days.

i think i've lost about 10 pounds so far in 1 month living here. america is great if you loooove hamburgers and fries and pizza. there's a hamburger place or fast food joint on every streetcorner there. it's a very unheathy cuisine. since i now live in a rural isaan village with no 7/11 nearby, i am losing weight at warp speed. nothing but sticky rice, soups, and poor quality cuts of meat now. i'm starving for a subway sandwhich or an indian curry.?

a long time ago when i was a broke digital nomad, i used to get by on 100-500 baht a day. i lived in a 3000 baht/month room with no aircon. i could make that amount of money last because i watched every satang i spent. i even saved those little stamps you get from the 7/11. and i'd get food from the market. even if i didn't have money, i could always get some girls interested by faking it. i have far more money now, but ironically i probably have a little less fun than i did back then when i was totally broke.

30,000 baht a month? ?that's about enough money to purchase a couple mama noodle packs each day and ride around on a used bicycle. instead, they go out and buy a brand new toyota hilux.

Why would you build a house without a kitchen.
Then why buy a house without a kitchen. I see many new houses with kitchens. Must be the area.
well, it's a small house in a rural area. couldn't be much more than 100 sq. meters. we decided the house wasn't large enough for a kitchen inside anyways. we've got just enough space to put a table and maybe a couch. ?
-
our newly built house did not come with a kitchen. is this common? all we have is just one big living room with some bedrooms attached. we have put everything out the back, including a stove and a place to clean the dishes. i really don't mind. i don't see any need to have a kitchen inside anyways. just a mini fridge for drinks is all i need. i let the ladies take care of the cooking.

i once visited china before and the visa was very very expensive$200-$300. probably prohibitively expensive to do visa runs. i could never imagine wanting to go there again never mind living there. lots of spitting and beggars. not for me.

where do these bad Thai ladies come from? so many..?

my country is not for me either. too many old fat, old women and everything is far too expensive. terrible weather too. i enjoy far better purchasing power here in Thailand. here, i have to fight the ladies off with sticks. that doesn't happen back "home". enjoy this little "phase". you'll get over it and come running back in a couple years.
