  1. Selling my beloved MT-03. Arguably the best bike in the 300 class. (Arguably more fun than the heavier and more boring CB500F). It has many upgrades and has been tuned for top performance. This is PERFECT for those new to motorcycles and also for those with some experience.

This bike revs, accelerates, handles, sounds and brakes WAY better than any stock R3/MT-03 out of the factory.

Enough power to keep you excited for a good while. 42 hp out of the factory, after mods and tunes this one should have ~45 hp.

Still love this bike. What a blast to rev it out and ride it hard in the twisty mountains. Great both in the city, and out of the city. Reason for selling: Upgrading to a Ducati Hypermotard.

Year 2015. 86xx km on odometer (low miles!). I bought it at 3xxx km and it looked brand new. Everything still looking very fresh. Green book in my name, transferable.

The bike has ABS in front and back – a lifesaver.

List of mods and accessories (over 25,000 baht invested):

    - Tail tidy
    - PR2 full exhaust system
    - High flow performance air filter
    - Professionally adjusted ECU and fueling (a must after changing the exhaust)
    - R6 throttle tube (shortens the throttle throw – it’s a long twist out of the factory, with this mod you can easily open the throttle 100% without adjusting your hand on the grip, the throttle is WAY more responsive, especially after exhaust and fueling upgrade)
    - Frame sliders
    - Shorty levers, adjustable
    - Splashguard (double sided arms for extra rigidity)
    - Rear LED indicators
    - Tank grips
    - Customized seat, added a good 5 cm of padding
    - Tires:
    - Front IRC IZ-S (track compound, very sticky rubber – huge boost in handling and performance)
    - Back Metzeler M5 - just replaced, also a great tire that will both stick and last
    - Recently upgraded front brake line to stainless steel + installed better pads. Huge improvement in braking performance and feel.
    - Phone handlebar mount with a USB charging port includedIMG_20171102_082921.thumb.jpg.7b2fb688f080f9d4d1f0e2dd536e397a.jpg

    Notes:

    - Regularly maintained and cleaned + waxed. Oil recently changed.
    - The bike has NEVER been dropped
    - The seat is considerably higher than original (~5 cm). I’m 193 cm, it should be good for anyone above 180 cm. Can be always modified easily and cheaply within 1 day – there is a very good shop in CM that does these modifications.

The bike is in storage in Chiang Mai. I'll be back in CM around mid-end of July, onwards. I can help with arranging the shipping to anywhere in Thailand.

No test rides unless cash in hand or deposit in the bank account.

Happy to answer any questions. I’m 100% transparent about this bike.

  2. Appreciate all the feedback guys.

I obviously enter Thailand via Air each time, usually Bangkok.

    Quote

He'd probably still get 'flagged' and questioned after 6 Visa exempt entries by air.

That's what I just heard also happened to my friend recently. He's a UK national and had 6 visa exempt entries over the last 23 months, and got "flagged" (I'm not sure if that means being automatically flagged by system or by the immigration officer). Like me, he also just travels to Thailand and never spends extended amount of time there. They questioned him for 2 hours (He didn't tell me what they asked him). He said he would avoid Thailand for next 12 months to "clear out" his entry history.

Are 6 visa exempt entries a threshold? Does anyone have any more information how exactly this works?

I literally just go to Thailand to travel, shop, go to a hospital, and ride a motorcycle (and spend a good amount of money in the process). I'm not sure what they want out of you when you're being questioned, but I can show them that all my income is legitimate and has nothing to do with Thailand. It doesn't make any sense for the authorities to make it more difficult for me to continue to do this.

  3. We all know that Thai authorities don't like anyone living in Thailand on 30 day exemption stamps or tourist visas.

What if you live in another country but keep visiting Thailand every 45-60 days to stay there for 7-10 days? It shouldn't be an issue, right?

Background: I've lived in Thailand for the first 6 months of this year on 2 extended 30 day exemption stamps + 3 month Self Defense visa (which can be extended every 3 months, but I canceled after the first period - I've already moved to Vietnam).

  4. I recently got a 1 year Self Defense visa, but left Thailand after 1.5 months before the first extension. I got the re-entry permit before leaving Thailand.

I don't need this visa anymore as I won't be living in Thailand. But I do want to visit Thailand for 2 weeks.

My exemption stamp is valid till 27th July and I can stay till 27th July.

However, I want to enter Thailand on 25th July and just get the standard 30 day exemption stamp ("tourist visa").

I'm afraid those 2 will interfere with each other? It wouldn't be ideal but should I move my Thailand trip a few days to be after 27th July when the re-entry permit is expired?

(Entering on re-entry permit and extending is not an option - I'm not going to be in Chiang Mai where I would need to extend, but rather on the islands).

  5. I'm about to start the process of doing the Driving License here in Chiang Mai, and obviously I need to show up on 2 different days to go through obligatory watching the "training" and doing the drive test the next day. I want to do it on Friday and then the 2nd part on Monday before I go traveling next week, but I also gotta go to Myanmar to get another 30 day exemption stamp. Will there be any issues since I'm technically starting the process on a different visa (which is exemption stamp) than the one I'm finalizing it with?
