The headline is very misleading, then you read the first line of the story.

The one point that has been missed in all of this debate is the timing of the arrest. If you are in the knowledge and a complete A$****e then you will make the charge on a Thursday or Friday so the arrest can be made on a Friday. This does not give the defendant the opportunity to go before a court and make bail before staying 2 or 3 nights in the jail house. This has happened to a friend of mine on a couple of occasions. Funny enough (but not for him) also a defamation case. For a charge of this nature it is a bit extreme.
Guilty until proven innocent????

The right thing to do. Well done!
Might be nice to also offer a refund in case people already made plans to leave by the end of their initial 30 days.
People who were charged extreme amounts of money for 3 months extensions have have paid for nothing.

2 people featured in the video not wearing masks and the risk of accident whilst towing is plain to see.
But still a nice gesture even if it staged.

Very clear. He could not proof his income, therefore rejected.
Goto to Laos, Savannakhet. No proof of income required.

My mom has come in with a 6 month holiday Visa and as we know she has to go out before 60 days but she's 91 so I want to rather change her visa to retirement but I can't open a bank account, so does anyone know someone who can assist with this without charging me the earth. Preferably in Pattaya but not a problem if its somewhere else. She's been here 30 days so I've got about 25 days to do this. Thanks in advance.
Immigration can give you a proof of address. Then just take it to any Kasikorn bank or another if you prefer. Otherwise I have the number of a great agent on Kao Talo. Just helped my friend get a driving license and not expensive.
Otherwise take a trip to Savnnakeht. I don't believe that you need financial proof there.

I am a 49 yo man married to a Thai national. Last year I found an agent in Laos who obtained a 1 year Non-imm O ME. I need ME because I work around Asia (never Thailand) but mostly China and travel in amd out of the country frequently. This year I went to contact him again and can only assume that with the visa changes in Laos that he has ceased to operate. My Visa expired 21st January and I returned to Thailand on 25th on VoE 30 days.
I was advised by a guy that I met yesterday that it is possible to get a METV 60 days or a Non-imm O ME 90 days at the Cambodia border without staying over night in Cambodia.
Can anyone confirm this and / or recommend the best border point to do this. We currently live in Pattaya.

Wait until someone gets bitten by one of these ferrule muts and contracts Rabies. As if statistics are to believed 80% of have it. I have had to avoid many agressive street dogs. Especially at early evening or night time when they form into their packs and energetic. The are left to fight among themselves and some will experience painful deaths.
I saw one street dog last week with half of its mouth hanging off, presumably from a regular territorial fight. Probably now dead in a ditch from infection. Many of these dogs have these battle scars.
How is this being compassionate? ?

Maybe a similar name to someone else who is on the reject list prompted the question. To which as, someone quoted earlier should have been no for such a minor offence 25 years ago. Then if you get caught out you plead ignorance. Now he is on the deportees list it will be more difficult to get in next time. Did he have a proper tourist visa or only Visa on Arrival.
Applying at his local embassy first should clarify if he is ableto enter the country or not.

Does any body have or know how to find information about starting up my company in Thailand. Brief Background. I currently own my own company based in Hong Kong where my Thai girlfriend and I are the only employees. I am considering moving this company to Thailand to make the logistics much easier. Hence the reason for my question. I don't usually work in Thailand but tend to perform most of my engineering work in China or other Asian countries. Any information would be greatly appreciated. i.e costs, companies that can help etc. Many Thanks.
