I had the same problem a few years ago, Chiangmai immigration processed my application early, however my wife had to write a letter asking them to do it. It wasn’t a problem Cnx immigration were very helpful. -

Pre Covid I was asked where my wife was and I pointed to where she was sitting, that was enough the didn't speak to her.
