In Chao Lao we always stay at this place.

    Walking distance to 7 11.

Next door to Tosang Beach Resort, that has an excellent not too expensive kitchen.

For 1500 you have a unit right on the sand, with sea view from your bed - air con & fridge.

Same unit, no sea view 1000.

    500 extra on saturday night.

    free wifi

If you spend a night in the city of Chanthaburi, KP Grand is a beautifull old style hotel near Robinsons. Book by phone for 1250 incl breakfast. Big rooms, bath, wifi, friendly staff.

Not bad but expensive for the area.

Just like KP grand hotel, overpriced shitthollee, maybe brand new hotel a lot better and cheaper for 1000 thb.

Many brand new bungalows on 500 thb at this beach, maybe hundred places, not right on the beach though.

Just had a car wash there. The owner is American with a Thai partner. I paid for both inside and outside (gold plan). They have prepaid plans for exterior only that are as low as 63 baht per wash. I am a satisfied customer. I do like sitting in the car with my music and air-conditioning.

Wrong, cheapest is 89 thb and they have prepaid for interior and exterior.

And the owner is from UK, not USA.

Do you really believe he's looking over his shoulder and living in fear?

He's getting on with his life, no fear and no regrets.

A despicable little coward is all he is!

I am SO SURE that you or your kids would surrender and go to jail in the same situation.

So funny or brainless and liars can be people not even able to imagine themselves in the same situation...

Why should it be 100 Baht maximum? If you run a properly managed car wash with well trained staff in a central location it's impossible to make a profit by charging that amount of money.

Too often I have been to a car wash and seen staff drops the rag they're cleaning/drying my car with only to pick it up (now full of sand) and continue what they're doing. I don't know about you but I care enough about the condition of the paint to pay another 100-150 Baht for a proper job.

properly managed car wash with well trained staff !

    Cannot stop laughing...

N2  on Pattaya tai is excellent.  I've been going there for years and it's consistent and catering to high end cars as well

Another top notch wash/wax is Glossline on Suk.  Opposite Cockpit bet Patt Tai and Pattaya Klang

Not better than any other car wash but over expensive, this is all what I can say about this one.

The new Quik car wash on sukhumvit at caltext is a lot better, and at least the UK guy knows what he is doing and talking about, unlike 99.99% of the Thai.

There are many different varieties of healthy salad dressings beyond a basic olive oil and vinegar. Brands such as Bragg, Primal Kitchen, Hilary's and Marzetti are just a few options.  I just don't really feel like making my own every day.

Yes, always a very good idea to eat processed food / dressing when the target is a healthy diet...

Just as important as sugar in coffee !

Thanks for the thread.  I'm mostly in Chiang Mai but also spend time in Bangkok.

Sounds like most most of us eating Keto have similar diets.

I too eat at home most of the time and cook a lot of chicken breast tenders in lots of butter and olive oil and whatever seasoning I feel like at the time, served with a massive pile of broccoli, cauliflower, zucchini or occasionally snow peas.

I eat a large salad almost every day, but I find it rather expensive once I have added decent salad dressing (Brianna's or Litehouse (only the low carb varieties at ฿295/249 respectively per bottle), fresh grated Parmesan, Grana Padano or Asiago Cheese and Hormel real bacon bits.  The veggies are usually just mixed greens, Japanese cucumber and shallots (unfortunately, can't eat nightshades so red/yellow/green peppers and tomatoes are out.)

I don't eat any fruit or drink fruit juices.

Snacks are usually blue diamond almonds (I bring about 10lbs of the smokehouse almonds from California each time I come as the ones available here are completely different). Yup Brands PB&J flavored B-Up protein bars (google it) also brought from home.  King Oscar cracked black pepper sardines.  Various cheeses, and on occasion, Kep Moo, which I like to eat with fresh guacamole when I can get a decent avocado.

Eating out is a bit of a chore as I usually have to find somewhere with either a decent salad bar or a generously sized dinner salad.  I have eaten at Dressed a couple times in Bangkok and don't really feel that it's a good value.  I don't think that a Keto restaurant would go over well (yet?) as most people I know don't eat that way but I too wish there was some kind of Keto option such as trading in whatever starchy carb comes with the meal for a much larger serving of veggies (hold the carrots/corn/peas)

I mostly drink water but also fresh brewed ginger tea (with stevia) and have a couple cups of coffee with cream(er) and stevia and one Pepsi max or Coke Zero per day.  Alcoholwise, I average about one beer a month so that will be a high carb variety usually enjoyed with a "cheat meal" at whatever restaurant I'm at.

The one item I wish I could purchase easily is fresh spinach for both salads and cooking and I also wish there was a better selection of salad dressings at more realistic prices.

Salad dressing when everybody knows that the only good healthy dressing is olive oil or balsamic vinegar ? What else do you really need ?

Don't want to be argumentative but my branch requires my bank book, passport and atm card every time I make an over the counter withdrawal. They know me well have been going there for years. Obviously I initially asked a number of times politely why the f@#% would I need an atm card to withdraw over the counter and the manager apologised and told me it was policy. Maybe they know which accounts have an atm attached and are required to sight it? Don't know but its only a minor inconvenience

This is exactly what I fear and what people here do not seem to understand very well...

There you go again. Instead of simply finding another place to eat you insist on going back to the same place and trying to change things.

You have a choice! In fact you got far more choices then Smokers do. What is it with some guys. Are they on some Power Trip?

I have been to a lot of places where the food was very good. But I didn't like the service, or the price for what I got, or the loud music they played later, so I never went back. I certainly never considered going back to talk to the Manager to try and improve there Service or Price, or the DJ to turn down the music.

You talk like this is the only place in the city you can eat at, when it is Pattaya, and loaded with many other places. Just do what a normal person would do, and go to another place, and let him run his business the was he sees fit.

he already said that NOWHERE ELSE it is possible to eat these dishes, and as he is an expert he could be right.

Anyway, why arguing ? is there anybody in this world not totally insane would could think that it is OK to smoke indoor when people are eating ? This is even ridiculous to talk about it !
