  1. ubonjoe, so sorry to come back to you on this subject, but the more I'm thinking, the more I'm having difficulty coming to terms with the fact that I have been deliberately and blatantly, taken advantage of, by having been corruptly overcharged Bht600 for my Covid-19 visa amnesty extension!

Whilst I fully appreciate that in my haste to receive the extension, I didn't ask for a receipt for the Bht2500 I had eventually paid, I feel really aggrieved that I have been the subject of a means of extortion by an attempt to originally obtain Bht3000 from me, for an extension that was rightfully costing Bht1900, even though I had produced necessary documents, including TM 7 stating reason for extension "Covid-19", and this all happening at the Official Government IO.

Any other members have experienced similar?

A embassy letter is not required. You could complete this affidavit and give it to them.

Thank you kindly ubonjoe, for your prompt response. As for the fee, I was asked Bht3000 last time, although they accepted Bht2500, because I had no Embassy Letter! What am I expected to pay with the Affidavit please?

  3. Fao. Ubonjoe.

My last Covid-19 Extension expired April 24. I visited I.O. April 23, 3pm, I was the only visitor. I was asked for Embassy Letter, not having one, I was asked for Bht3000, I had only Bht2500 which was accepted and I signed some Docs, and the  Extension processed, no receipt!

Ubonjoe, you've been most helpful  in the past, can you please advise me, I'm concerned about my next Extension! Many kind thanks!

  4. I went today 23April to my local IO to renew my 60 day Covid-19 Extension which expired 24 April it was 3pm and the Office was empty.

I had all my Docs and application form ready, then the IO asked me for an Embassy Letter, I said that I hadn't, but I had checked with Bangkok that morning and told it was not necessary.I was then asked for Bht3000, I said I was told by Bangkok Bht1900 is fee, Then asked how much I had because the fee is Bht3000, I had only Bht2500 which the IO took and processed my Extension, no receipt! Comments please, hopefully Ubonjoe!

  5. To 7by7.
My colleague is a QC with chambers at Lincolns Inn, he doesn't specialise in Immigration Law, but I will try to get a link!
On balance I would say that with Tony M's exemplary knowledge and experience his would be more reliable source, I was merely reiterating my colleague's opinion.
You are quite correct in saying that I am somewhat confused by all I have learned from this thread, but I feel sure that others will benefit from the amount of knowledge that has been displayed by experienced members of this excellent forum.
I can say with gratitude, that every Posting, with the exception of one (Razzell) which I attribute to his limited knowledge and display of vocabulary prowess, has been most helpful and constructive!
    Thank you

  6. I have just spoken to a solicitor colleague of mine who has reviewed the UK Immigration Regulations and Legislation for me, and he is of the opinion that there is no law in existance that precludes the application of a dual British/Other National citizen for a UK visa.
However in these circumstances, whether the application is allowed to proceed, would be solely at the discretion of the ECO, depending on the merits of the case!g
I hope you will find this information useful for future reference.
