  1. Hi, I haven't been to the LOS for a while, but I was talking to someone in a pub, who was going to Thailand on a single ticket, ( he had an O visa ), he said it wasn't necessary anymore to have a booked return flight, which I always thought was illegal under Thai law. I'm coming over later in the year myself, intending to get the same visa, but I asked at Hull and I ended up more confused than before I phoned them !! Can anyone simplify what the rules are ? I would prefer an open ended return ( to England), it's a lot cheaper to buy a single ticket than a long stay return one.

  2. Hi newbie, Please listen to the other posts and DO NOT OVERSTAY UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES, while a few hundred Baht fine may not seem much, it is also within Thai law (as I understand it), to imprison you for this, it's unlikely to happen in reality, but why take the chance? Especially as it sounds like you are both on some kind of world tour ( lucky devils !). have a great time in the LOS ( Land Of Smile), and have a great time. :o

  3. My father inlaw has dentures but I could not find any denture glue in thailand so I have to take it over from the uk for him. I can find the denture tablets sometime in watson"s for cleaning, has anyone found denture glue in thailand?

I see from your profile that you're in Pattaya. I haven't been there for a few years, but I wear dentures and bought some fixative ( the type in the tube - fixodent or something like that it was called ) in Boots the Chemist on the sea front road, somewhere near Mike shopping plaza, it was upstairs, I think, sorry this is a bit vague, but I hope it helps. Isn't there a Tesco in Pattaya now ? I thought they would have sold it. Out of interest, how much are a set of dentures in Thailand, anyone know ?

  4. I am retired here, and a friend brought me some model kits on a trip from the UK. Call me boring, but it fills in the time, the question is, is there anywhere I can get small tins of enamel paint, the ones he brought are rapidly running out, and I've looked around locally ( I'm in the north) without success. I'm going to BKK, then to Pattaya for a week or so, I thought I might have more success there, any recommendations? If not, can I get them sent over by mail, or is that prohibited ?
