Tell your mother to obtain a free "Labara" SIM. I have one in my Thailand purchased Vivo phone and my Thai wife here with me in the UK uses it several times a week to call her family in Chiang Rai. It's incredibly cheap. She loads the SIM via the automatic phone with £10.00 from a registered credit card and when she call and talks for about an hour, it only costs about £1.00. It's very easy to load and to check the cost of each call usage.

What on earth makes you think your experiences only apply to Issan women? If I didn't know better, I would think that you must have spy equipment watching and listening to everything in my home ( which is in Chiang Rai) and using the knowledge gained to write your post.
I've spent well over bht 5,000,000 to build her a beautiful house in her village and taken her to many countries around the world. After 14 years together and married for 8 years, it's cost me many thousands of pounds and countless hours of work to get my wife to the UK where she's now waiting to hear about her application for UK citizenship and still nothing has changed!

Hello Hindy. I'm in the UK with funds in Thailand, but I can't get to them as my Thai SIM and debit card are both expired and I there's no possible way for me to return to Thailand for the foreseeable future. I'd be happy to come to a safe arrangement to exchange my Baht for GBP.

Bearing in mind the limited flight restrictions, can anyone please advise if traced and signed for letters posted from the UK are currently being delivered in Bangkok Thailand and if so how long does it take.

I'm British living in the UK with my Thai wife. Several years ago, I transferred a substantial amount to my Bangkok Bank account with a view to buying a Thai condo. Due to my age, I cannot now get health insurance and that, together with the current covid restrictions, means that it's impossible for me to ever return to Thailand. My Thai SIM card has long since expired and it's now impossible for me to receive a to PIN in order to use my online banking. I need to recover my money back to the UK and have spoken several times with the bank, but they have been totally unsympathetic and uncooperative. I would be pleased to exchange my baht for GBP or USD on favourably agreed terms for both sides and of course, using all due diligence to find a mutually safe way to do this, for both sides. If interested, please emai me on [email protected] or call Dan on +44 (0) 75 701 77620.

I have substantial amount of Baht in Bangkok Bank that I want to convert to GBP and sent to the UK, but my debit and telephone SIM have both expired and I cannot get back to Thailand or the foreseeable future.
If you can open an account with Dee money and send them funds to convert GBP and send to my Barclays UK account, I can transfer Thai baht to you. Can contact me at myaddress101 at hotmail dotcom.

Hi Gabriel1, I have an on-going case in Pattaya, albeit not for divorce. When started, I was desperate to find an honest and fair English speaking lawyer and eventually, I took pot luck. I appointed a Bangkok lawyer and have been perfectly happy with my choice and would thoroughly recommend her. Her name is PONGKARN KHUNPHASEE, nickname Aom. She speaks fairly fluent English and recently returned for getting an additional law degree in the USA. Aom has her own law company and can be contacted at [email protected]. Tel: +66(0)894599144 or +66(0)859254941 Address: 229/16 The Regent Orchid, Sukhumvit 101, Bangjark, Prakhanong, Bangkok 10260. Website: https://bancheelegal.com/. I you decide to contact Aom, feel free to mention my recommendation, re- Daniel and Yupha.

I emigrated to the USA from the UK with my UK wife and 2yr old daughter on Green cards in 1966 and I worked there for just 3.5 years before returning to the UK, permanently and our Green cards expired. My wife did not work. At 65 years old I was able to claim a much reduced USA pension (and still do). My now ex wife also gets a small pension, but significantly smaller than mine. On that basis, YES, your wife can certainly claim for a pension. N.B. A year or so ago, the USA pension service formally informed the UK tax office of my pension entitlement and they will almost certainly inform the Thai tax authorities when your wife ultimately receives her pension.

I am 82 years old and VERY confused. Can you please help with concise advise?
I am in the UK with my Thai wife (who I married in Bangkok over six years ago) for who, after a huge expense and countless hours of work, has just been granted British citizenship.
Not being able to return to Thailand for the past two years, following receipt her UK passport expected in about 6 weeks time, my wife is anxious to go home for about three months, to visit her family and house in Chiang Rai.
I have read many contradictory Thaivisa posts, which has left me even more confused
I've checked in the UK and despite my huge age, I have been offered a multi trip (statutory?) health insurance covering both of us for around (I think very reasonable) Bht. 18,000 and which covers us for Covid and £3,000,000 hospitalisation. However, I believe the coverage is restricted to just 3 weeks in any three month period.
With the above information and your supreme knowledge in these matters, would you kindly advise on my options and most appropriate visa.
