Why? The address on the registration is not really important, your work address would have been fine.
Ill let them know that the next time they ask lol. They wernt fine with it.

Have you checked in the back pages of your work permit?
When I renewed mine I noticed that my address was not at the front, as was the case with the older work permits.
I later found out that my home address was now printed near the back of the book (a few pages in).
Na - its no where to be seen. They admit its not there.

I live in Phang Nga and this year we bought a car. Realized that my home address was not on my work permit so ended up having to get a cert of residence from immigration.....painful.
So yesterday HR went to the labor department as they are renewing my work permit. Asked for them to put my home address on the permit and they refused saying they dont do that here.
Has any one ever heard of a labor office refusing to do what they should be doing like this and any advice?

Seems to me this guy feels he has some power to interfere in the peoples will. Also i suggest someone starts looking at cases he has been involved in as a judge....i thought it was the innocent until proven guilty and the burden of proof is on the prosecution.

Not sure if I get you. You mean they are withdrawing citizenship from every Thai that doesn't make 2000 Euros a month?
Mayve read the article and the replies. I don't have time to explain to lazy people who haven't bothered to read the thread.

I suspect a lot of foreigners are sh*tting bricks right now. It was bound to happen eventually. Pack up and leave lads.

I'd suggest this "lawyer" heads back to school and starts to study again

Got to disagree.
One of life's little irritations is the way stalls force people into the road, especially during the rainy season.
There’s a stall at the end of my soi which completely blocks the path forcing me to walk round it to get to the path or cross to the other side.
Normally this is ok, but during the rainy season the road floods very quickly and to a depth above the ankle.
The amount of filth floating in it is foul.
Really hate having to stand in it.
oh what an irritation it must be for you .....god help ya

He probably can't meet the ridiculous income requirement (proof of taxes paid on at least THB 80,000/mo of income for 3 years). If he has community support, and is not a burden on the state, he seems like he would make a stand-up foreigner admitted as a citizen. Thai bureaucracy is stuck in the 19th century.
2000 euro a month
Hardly over the top. There are rules and if you wish to be one a citizen then you follow them.

Hi all,
Just looking for some advice in relation to moving to Portugal for 6 months each year.
Im from the republic of Ireland, my wife is Thai. We both live here in Thailand. I am the sole earner in the family at present etc.
What would be the easiest visa for her to attain to accompany me.
I own a property on the algarve as well.
Thanks

Indeed you are right but your DL cannot be used as a certificate of residence when having dealing with government agencies etc. Further more to renew your DL u must bring a certificate of residence with you. They won't accept it as your proof of address either.
