If you are American you can fly to Guam and get a free Vaccination. Not as far as other American destinations.
Right, it's not as far but you'll still have to quarantine there. Not much to do on that small island.
I'm off to the US (using miles and $85.00 r/t first class for the jabs. Sandbox in Phuket suites me better.

Thanks, I finally got this figured out.
After going to the Thai Embassy site in the US they were asking for my vaccine records and I'm thinking......how can I do that while I'm still in Thailand?
Then it dawned on me...I have to apply for the COE after I get the jabs. Idiot.
Now I just need to be able to stay in the US long enough after the jabs to get the COE.
Wish I was young again,

Update from my past post.
Udon Hospital just advised for the test enabling flight. 3890 Baht.
Sorry for the past, misleading post.
-
Musta got their promotion. BKK hosp here in Udon now charging 4500, AEK Udon at 4000, Udon hospital free. Try the local government hospital for a free to 500 baht test. Next day results.
-
Check with your carrier, they'll have the form needed for boarding.
Private hospitals here in Udon are charging 3500 to 4500 for same day test results.
Non-private (Thai) hospitals are free with next day results.

I'm flying JAL to the US soon. JAL site had a form I downloaded showing one filled out which is what they will accept ( (RT-PCR) and (LAMP) and a blank one for the hospital to fill out.
BKK hosp in Udon 4500 same day results. AEK Udon was 4000 same day result. Udon government hospital is free, results next day.
I showed all them the forms, and type of test needed and they all said "Yes, that is what we do".
Shameful that the private hospitals have found, yet another way, to gouge us.

I've been living here, married to a Thai, fully insured with Cigna and was wanting to go back to the US for the jabs.
I've got a copy of the marriage cert., house book, money in the bank, Typical stuff to stay here and just got a re-entry permit
I'm wanting to get back to the US for the jabs, and return to Phuket vs BKK due to the restrictions there.
I've read elsewhere that, under these conditions, I don't need a COE. Correct or not?
Thanks

I've not been able to find it at ANY shop here in Udon

I'm currently dealing with factories in China via Alibaba. Spa price combined with export/import tax and duty paid by the forwarder on both ends, are a lot less than it would cost me in the US.
Literally 100's of models to choose from.
If ya need more, ya know where I'm at

They are not aharp. The tiles are beveled!
So how much radius can be made on 1/4" tile. ????

K.Clark.........Being in the market myself I started looking. HomePro used to have the skirted type on display a few years back but they've swapped them ouy for I-Spa versions and quite pricey as well.
Just sent an inquiry to Jazzispas, so I'll just wait and see what they have to say.
Thanks K.

There in stock at the dealers now here in Udon

I was lucky enough to buy a 4 week old "second hand" 350 in Chi Am a few months ago for 163,000 including about 30,000 in upgrades.
Compared to my friends 2019, I'd say wait for the 2020.
It's also known that there will be a 750cc release soon. But 350's all I need.
Gool luck

Well, Cambodia is on the list of places to visit for good or bad, I was just wondering what it is like to enter/exit and looking for a bit of a route to head for.
I have to say I am not into big cities anywhere and really like friendly rural locations, so any tips would be useful, also the best time to travel, or times to be avoided.
N.E. Cambo is quite mountainous and in the winter can get a bit cold. I crossed S. Lao into Cambo at Veun Kham which is as south as you can get in Laos. Forget about the dolphins, waste of time and not so scarce as they would lead you to believe but there are some great places to stay on the river in S. Lao near the 4000 islands area. You can cross into Cambo there or head east to V.N via the Ngoc Hoi crossing. From Nakhom Phanom cross into Thakhek and go east on hwy. 12 to cross into VN at Na Phan and now your close to the beaches further east.
My trip took me south into N. Cambo followed 7 south to Stung Treng for the night then headed east on 78 to Ban Lung. (From Stung Treng you could also throw the bike on a bout heading south the Kratie or PP.) Lots of rural roads and trails from Ban Lung into the mountains and some great times meeting up with the tribal folks.
From there I found my way down to Kratie following the river to Stung Trong and Kampong Cham and finally PP for a few days before heading off the the beaches in Swampy. (Head by the Naval base on 41 and east into the jungle to come upon some beautiful, uninhabited and unspoiled beaches. Damn, I want to go back)
It's worth the trip east from there to Kampot and Kep and so many tracks heading north into the mountains you could spend a lifetime on the move.
I never really had a set route (but carried a map) never used a GPS and didn't mind getting lost at all. I never had ANY problems with the locals and was always able to find some place to sleep and get the bike repaired if needed. I only used temples as a last resort, but they'll all take you in for nothing.
Someone said..."It's not the destination, it's the journey". I've got it in my blood and really want to get back on the bike but I'm pushin' 70 now and not sure how the ole body will take it.

Can you cross into VN from Laos? I know you did it by mistake, but I thought it was difficult to do it properly.
Actually did the crossing from S.E. Cambodia into VN. Not an issue had I had a visa.
I doubt it would be a problem crossing from Lao to VN. but it may be easier to get your visa prior.
I went from Thailand into Lao, south into Cambo and east again into VN.
It's actually closer to the beaches in VN from Udon than to the beaches in Thailand.

This is a Thai forum so you need to figure the average retiree in Thailand not the US to make it relevant to Thai Visa.
So if the majority of retirees here are THAI, one should not post about expats income???

Went to S. Lao on my old Honda 250 enduro. Crossed Thailand to Lao near Mukdahan someplace then crossed into Cambo on the northern border with S. Lao after 3 weeks there. Trip was in the fall sometime. Maybe Sept. Oct. Nov. Brain cells missing .
A bit of a wait at the crossing for the folks to get there. Had a tour bus there as well. All the folks in the line had a $1.00 bill sticking out of their passport to pay the "health cert" fee. When I got to the front I told them I would not pay as it was not required an they asked me to move quietly along.
Tried to overcharge for the visa. I acted like I was going to take photos of the big boss. Again, move along please. Both times ...no fees. Suggest getting visa prior to trip if you want to avoid the corruption.....Don't bother me though.
Had some Cambo lads tape some cardboard over the light with some writing. Found out later it said "please give me your lane" in Khmer.
Even though I took the bike into the hotel lobbies it didn't stop them from stealing my gas. (FYI)
Did the famed loop over some big N.E. mountain range. Quite cold up there....no jacket for me. Burrr. Lots of dirt tarcks if your into that sort of thing.
Did the first 2 weeks in N. Cambo. Headed south to the beaches after a few days in P.P. (Passed on Ankor Wat as I'd been there b4 but nice to see if you've never been) Then headed east thru Kampot and Kep. Been there b4. (Think pepper farms in Kep and seafood on the street in Kampot) Nice places along the S. coast. Ended up crossing into V.N. without realizing it. No real border crossing to speak of. Just kinda motored thru. U-turned after I noticed the script on the road signs changed.
Back at the border I was told to go back to P.P. for a V.N. visa an they would let me in.
Came back thru Trat? Way south Thailand passing thru the fishing villages along "The Narrowest Part of Thailand". Or so the sign said.
3 weeks in S. Lao and almost 30 in Cambo. 6000 km.
Good trip. First one from S. Lao into N. Cambo.
I love to take to the open road and trails on my own for long trips. Highly recommend but not as much as N. Lao from Chiang Rai going N. to the China border, E. to the VN. border then back S. to Nong Khai but if your open to some unique experiences, hit the road...you'll have no regrets....there's always a new adventure to be had there.
Cheers

Upon cancelling their service they said they would send someone out to get their box and other things and mail me a refund "check" for the 1000 baht paid on deposit at the time of service start.
Now I hear that their "check" is really a credit for future service and not a refund after all.
Can anyone comment on this??

Yea,me also.
Let me know what you find.

There are other countries nearby that pay well over your mentioned 3% savings earnings for fixed account. Currently 9% on a 12 month

An answer to my posted questions would determine if they're applicable or not.

From what country will the funds be coming from and what amount are you talking about?? There are few facts that you might be interested to know.

I've a smallish 5m x 5m lanai built over the pond with a wood floor made from 1 x 8 planks, some of which will be exposed to the sun and rain.
Can someone recommend a good finish that will last and not require much maintanence?
I'm not to keen on the high gloss the Thai's seem to like.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Thanks again for the info.
Seemd like Udon where there set up in a lot of places.
I'm sure that I'll find what I'm looking for.
