What's your personal assessment of the Joven SL30P?  How much did it really boost pressure, and did the temperature stay above at least 40 at highest pressure setting?

it does boost pressure, but the difference isn't huge.  maybe less than 50% difference?  the performance would be similar to the Clarte WHGP45 in that youtube video.  i suspect that all of these would be pretty similar internally and perform similarly.  sorry, i'm not in thailand at the moment, otherwise i'd run a test on it.

it has no problem heating to 40 with the pump on (the joven only has an on/off switch for the pump, unlike the clartes which have a dial)

I realize that heaters with booster pumps seem to not be sold in Thailand, but this unit is not from Thailand; I would be importing it from elsewhere.

they are available in thailand.  i have a Joven SL30P.

you should be able to get either a Joven SL30P (available on lazada) or a Clarte WHM451P (available from boonthavorn,  lazada, shopee and probably other places.  homepro used to have these too).  the clarte on shopee for ฿3,290 is a pretty cheap price.

both of these shower heaters have small built-in pumps.

edit: there is also a Clarte WHGP45 on shopee for only ฿1,890

(you can see the performance difference that the small added pump makes here -

    FYI - I updated my TM30

I handed my passport and Chanote to the immigration

do you show them the original chanote or just a copy?

i'm planning to move into my newly renovated condo for the first time, but i don't have the original chanote here in thailand (it's back in australia).  i don't have the tabien baan yet either.

does anyone know if i can do a TM30 with just a scanned copy of my chanote?

6 No 20 Amp MCBs for power sockets in the house  2.5mm cable

is 20amp an ok breaker size to use with 2.5mm cable if the cable is chased into a masonry wall? (this is a studio condo, so only fairly small distances)?

the reason that i ask is that i saw this graphic:

    58d9be24349b5_PEAPicadjusted.thumb.jpg.8

can anyone translate the bottom right table?

    eg. it says 2.5mm - 23amp - 17amp - 21amp .. i'm guessing these might be maximum breaker sizes under different circumstances, but i can't read it.

i hope to travel to Pattaya in March and wondered about how to get there.

take a big bus.  cheap, easy and safe.

taxi drivers are usually pretty good, but a taxi isn't going to be safe if it crashes into the crazed mini bus driver going the opposite way.

i've taken a mini bus twice and it was an absolute nightmare both times.  never again.

(make sure you are buying a big bus ticket.  mini buses and big buses go from the same bus stations, and it isn't always clear what you are buying a ticket for)

Assuming your main incoming breaker can handle the prospective fault current then that's the one to worry about. The subsequent units are invariably lesser beasts.

thanks!  i have another question.  i was looking at this RCBO to use as my incomer (i have a 15/45 meter):

    https://www.aliexpress.com/item/50A-2P-RCBO-RCD-Circuit-Breaker-DE47LE-DELXI/32584903881.html

i noticed it has a cover over some extra terminals.  can i remove this cover if i want to supply some unprotected (leaky) circuits?

is this the correct way to use this type of RCBO?

i'm guessing that if the RCD trips, the grey "R" switch will switch off the protected circuits, but the unprotected circuits will still be on.  the big red switch will switch everything off (big red switch turns everything off on overcurrent or when switched manually).  is this correct?

are 4kA RCBOs and MCBs okay for thailand?  i was looking in homepro and most of the local stuff seems to be 6kA or above.  i'd rather save some money and buy the cheaper stuff from aliexpress, but only if 4kA is safe enough to use.
