  1. Last week I received my 3th METV, and I'm back in Thailand again. I think one of the first, or the first in this topic, at least when I read back.

Just to let you guys know.

This time I will try to stay 8 months, so 2 months extra on the last 'enter before' date. Still a little bit scared that it will not work, and so I don't dare to buy a flight ticket back before that time.

Extra info: Till that time I do a Bangkok - Kuala Lumpur 1 day trip. So fly and 3/4 hours later I fly back, and this every 60 days. Till so far I never had problems doing this.

Does anyone have an example of wording used in an employer letter that was successfully accepted for a METV.

This is mine, it has already been accepted 2 times. Print it on official company paper with there logo and address information and a signature of the director.

We hereby declaire that [name] is an active employee since [date] and he will continue his job.

He is working as a [job function] and is responsible for [you tell me]. He will travel as part of his ‘gap year’ as a tourist.

[company name] is [write in one sentence what they do].

The visa is valid for 6 months from the date of issue. You can do a an entry on the date the visa expires (enter before date on visa) and get another 60 day entry that can be extended for 30 days.

"You can do a an entry on the date the visa expires (enter before date on visa) and get another 60 day entry". You think this or you know this from own experience? Because they told me something else, and than it would mean you have a 8 months visa instead of 6 months.

Off-topic, but maybe interesting for other people, because I don't read much about a third METV yet:

Currently I'm on my second METV, and in April I go back to my home country and come back again at the end of April, with hopefully my third METV. The only question they asked me when I applied for my second METV at the embassy of my country, was if I have work, because they are scared that I will work in Thailand, so they told me to print-out my last 3 salary statements, which I can show to the immigration officer in Thailand, but they didn't ask for it (November 2016).
