  1. do we have any other service provider available in this region?

    hi cp3

i am using since about 3 years maxnet premier ... normally every two or three months

there is a problem for a few days. but that is acceptable for. i like to use skype and it

works the most time . but i do not know your use ...

i am living in the city, i do not know how it works outside the city. if you like to have a more

stable connection, do not go for "indy", "premier" is more expensive but it is worth (for me).

the internet company "3bb" (former maxnet) will install you a new line only for the internet,

don't use your phone line, less problem. have a look at 3bb.co.th/product/

the 3bb office in chiang rai is located at "thanalai road", next to a bookshop. if you are heading

west it's on your right side ... they are very helpful

  2. cheers that is really helpful, it still leaves the question whether this will affect my visa. Im on the last 3 month leg as my mul non imm o is now past its exp date.

    Cheers

with the "vip-pass", it will not affect your visa. they will not give you any stamp into your passport. while

you are crossing the border, the thai immigration will keep your passport. maybe you reread the links in

    my previous post ...

  3. i am living in a rented house without any aircon. i like to cool down the bedroom (15 m2) to about 27 degree,

therefore i think to turn on the air-con only temporary. makro sells a "portable air-con" (attachment). does

anyone have any experience with this kind of air-con? how does it work, what do i have to install?

    thanks for any comment

  4. i am using skype for phone calls to Europe.

    http://www.skype.com/intl/en/allfeatures/subscriptions/

for 3.95 euro per month (select your country):

" Calls to phones and mobiles and Skype To Go* calls are included in your subscription subject to a fair usage limit of 10,000 minutes per user

per month, with a maximum of 6 hours per day. Also, no more than 50 different numbers in total can be called per day. If your subscription includes

more than one country, then this is the total amount of minutes allowed per month on your account, and is not a separate limit for each country."

    i am happy with skype!

  5. i wonder if i am the only one how get mad about the new promotion form maxnet. for several months a had premier 1024/512. was very happy with it, very stable and running fast enough for my use (up 6-800 / down 2-400). but since they increase the speed i have trouble with the uploading speed. the lowest is 26 kps :D , and it is never stable. i'm useing skye nearly every day, but the quality is that bad, it is more then just annoying to use it :D :D !

    - my thai owner of my rented place call 1103 may times already. first they told her every time, everything is fine, no problem at all :o ... after the second week, tt&t admitted they have a problem :D . they will solve it till end of next month :D ! what kind of information did you get?

    - what can i do? maybe using "biz" instead of "premier"?

    - they told me, the "premier" is used only by 10 customer per line. is this correct?

    - the "premier" upload is 512 kbs, not like (wrongly?) written 1024 kbs?

    - how has the benefit download more than 1000 kbs? i don't see much different!

    - is the "promotion price" for everyone or only for new client?

sorry about so many questions. but i really appreciated if i get some hints and more knowledge :DB)

    cheers khun naamjai

  6. i like to continue this interesting topic!

my girlfriend speaks only thai, no english at all. so we communicate only in thai. my spoken thai is, according to my thai teacher, about phratom 4, my reading and writing about phratom 2! english is not my first language. in the future my girlfriends daughter (age 5) will stay with us.

i will try to talk with the daughter of my girlfriend only english . but then she will get confused cause i speak with her mother only thai ....

it would be nice if someone can give me a good advice what to do ...

    cheers naamjai

  7. my thai gf (29) doesn't speak, read or write any english. can someone recommend us a good web site, some cd (maybe with book) and so on for to learn english on the computer. it should have: translation written in thai, phonetics written in thai and with english sound tool. It also should be for a real beginner, starting only with very basic english!

    thank’s for any advise
