IMO I think it is good that foreigners cannot own land in Thailand, if they could the price of land would skyrocket and local people would not be able to afford to buy land.

In some way you are right, but how much land has been purchased with foreign money in the name of a Thai (wife, girlfriend, partner)?
Some simple regulations could avoid land prices becoming a skyrocket. Foreigners can only buy a limited land
    size (
e.g. 1 Rai per foreigner). The land only can be used as resident for the owner (no business, no rental). Foreigner owned land can't be sold or bequeath to non Thai nationals.

  2. My plan would definitely be better. I would use army bases as enclosed and protected quarantine venue for tourists. Tourists can use the army golf course, army bicycle path, army swimming pools, shooting range, sky diving and of course the army beaches wile being in quarantine. Solders serving breakfast, lunch and dinner and take care of all tourist needs. All of it for a low cost price. I'm thinking of army bases like Wing 5 in Prachuap Khiri Khan or the Naval School in Chon Buri, known for its Sai Kaew Beach.

  3. Those 9 pillars are general rules to prevent a pandemic and not new or special for Covid-19.
    Pillar 10 is missing.
10 ruin the economics of your country, instead of accepting a low and controlled number of infections.
The virus will not disappear soon, therefore it is better to live with it and take a controlled risk.

By the way, the WHO is running a list of road traffic deaths. Thailand as one of the top leader of the list, could help the WHO reducing death by road traffic.

  4. Thailand had 3135 infected people and 58 died. Thailand population is 70 million people.

For example Switzerland had 31'011 infected people and 1676 died. Switzerland population is 8.6 million people.
In Thailand 33 people per 100'000 die in a road accident. In Switzerland 3.7 people per 100'000 die in a road accident.
This means, Thais should be more scared of road accidents than Cocid-19. The pandemic will be over one day, the Thai road carnage will never be over.

Yes, you are right...they will not open to western countries, except maybe Australia and New Zealand and some other who have the virus under control.

Look at the fools in Europe and the US. It is a mess...many people are just selfish and reckless. They even don't want to wear a mask to protect others. I am very disappointed about my own compatriots and all the other western countries. Asia will become the strongest region of the world in future. Good night US..good night Europe.

In Switzerland there hasn't been a general mask mandatory. Nevertheless, the number of infections has decreased to the same extent as in countries that require a mask. Masks can lead to a wrong feeling of safety and therefore to a wrong behaviour.  It does not mean masks are useless, it means masks are only useful under certain circumstances.

  6. Thais are proud never being colonized by another country. Now they open all doors for the Chinese colonization.
Fact is, the influence of China is growing
rapidly in politics as well as in economic.
The National Council for Peace and Order just prepared the Thais to one party system like in China.
The elected government is just a sham government. NCPO is still ruling and keeps the opposition low with all forces.
In the past Thailand fought against communism. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Communist_insurgency_in_Thailand
Now they are going to loose against the "new" Chinese communist capitalism. Actually the growing influence of China and its capitalism is not only takes place in Thailand its almost in the whole world. https://www.forbes.com/sites/wadeshepard/2019/10/03/what-china-is-really-up-to-in-africa/#693e88b45930

  7. What an idiot of a doctor.
How does he explain, the fact that other European countries have a much lower death rate than Italy compared with the amount of infected people?
Fact is the population of Italy is over aged. More than 75 percent of those affected in Italy are older than 51 years, almost four out of 10 affected people are even over 70 years old.
Fact is, age is definitely a risk but there is no other certain evidence why some countries have more casualties than others.
Both strain L- und S-typ has been found in China.

There are many. Some don't get paid and think this is no problem then. But it is not important if you get money or not. It is important that you do something that could be classified as work.

    What is classified as work?
If somebody builds a cupboard for his Thai girlfriend during his holiday, because wood working is more relaxing for him than hanging around some beach. Is this classified as work?
If a pensioner maintains his house, by him self (gardening, painting, laying tiles, repairs) is this classified as work?
