From Udon Thani to Bangkok -> Singapore.

You and your G/F and son do not need a visa for Singapore and Malaysia.

BUT to all I can see they will need a passport with 6 months validity.

An ID card is not accepted.

If you travel in a group and can show travel plans there should be no problem for your G/F and son. Otherwise young Thai females are "grilled" at the checkpoint assuming they want to enter for illegal stay. Are you the legal father of the boy?

Your passport will be stamped at every border crossing.

If you have a long term status to stay in Thailand like a one year extension you need to get a re-entry permit to keep this valid.

Thanks, I,ll get them a Passport for each of them, her son is ten years old, Been with both of them 6 years now,  we intend to fly to singapore from udon thani in Jan, for 1 week,  stay 2 days. then go legoland for 2 days,( one night legoland hotel ) and come back and stay in singapore for 3 days and fly back Udon Thani, Thats the Intention, I hope to get a 2 month thai Visa in uk where i,m resident for myself from early Dec, to early Feb,  Any more Info on anything to do or go in sngapore is appreciated, Thanks again, Steve Mack

Legoland is just across the border in Johor Baru (referred to locally as JB) if memory serves me correctly.

Definitely look at staying in JB for the duration of your Lego Land visit - prices for accommodation will be cheaper than Singers

Singapore is considerably more expensive, so give some thought to a package (flights and hotels and transfers) for the 3 of you, which allows you to change one of the flights so you can extend the holiday to include JB/Lego Land

You may also look at an additional ex-Singapore package of Hotels, Lego Land, and transfers, ie leaving from Singapore to JB and all inclusive

Crossing between Singapore and JB involves the Woodland Immigration point so allow time for that if you are doing your own transfers between the two.  Can get very congested.

While in Singapore itself, the tourist options are excellent and numerous. Marina Bay Sands, Marina district, Night Safari, Shopping up Orchard Road, Hawker Centres for food (Newton Circus etc), Hop-on Hop-off buses - Singapore is a really good place for a family

And do one lunch at a decent Hainanese Chicken Rice restaurant.

Thanks very much, Do you know if I need to get a visa to cross from Singapore to  Mal, and vice versa ? Do I get my  passport stamped each time I cross ? I,m Flying from Udon Thanee  in Thailand about Jan, next, on a European Passport, ( Irish Citizen } G/F and her son only have I.D cards, Is that ok too,?

    Thanks for your Help, Steve,

  4. Can I buy a car in the UK in my sons name and import it as his property? He is dual nationality both British and Thai.

I heard the car has to be registered in the uk in his thai name for 2-3 years before he can bring it into thailand tax free.

  6. Have been refused many times over the years in thai banks, they seem to want clean or newish notes. not ones with writing or numbers on them like the ones many uk banks accept and use.( once in Hua Hin I was refused with nearly new 50 x 10 pound notes in bank, ) Just did not accept them, only 20,s up, I think it was Kas Bank. Now I just bring Very Clean notes.

I believe it is a loan payment too. She has a hair salon and makes about 35,000 to 40,000 a month.  But until she stops helping every family member that comes along she can not help herself. That is why I do not give into her. I am suprised she has not got rid of me . I do help her, but not by handing her cash. I pay for her daily needs such as food , clothes , travel and health needs. She just can not manage  money . Thanks for all the replies. I am sure I know where I stand

If she makes 35-40,000 baht a month, then shes rich compared to the other local villagers, P.S. It must be a very big Village to make that much.

At least they blurred out the picture of his body this time.

Look at the waves in the picture behind.

It really doesn't look safe at all.

RIP. Hopefully his family found out from proper sources instead of the media

Yes, Tragic, But if tourists ignore warnings, why not ban shops from renting kiteboards, but of course they wont do that.

    Many thanks. Will pass on.

He divorced his (Western) wife after he caught her cheating. Hence his aversion now towards Western women.

His daughter is fully aware her mother cheated and she is also aware her Dad wants a GF from a different culture.

It made no difference, the daughter is not backing down on her position.

Jealousy or Control springs to mind.

Yes the "Long Haired Dictionary" we used to call them, & we always needed at least one in our group when we were travelling around Thailand.... but that was 30 years ago, now so many people speak English here......

Have you seen the new "Pixel Buds" earphones --on sale next month from Google.... place them in the ear and in real time (as they speak)  it changes the language to English, on sale in 3 weeks time.

does not have thai on the list of languages.

You want the Thai version translated into English??? I work as a translator, would be rather expensive to translate.

Thanks Patrick, No, I only wanted to see what the translation from thai to english is in step no 3, step no 5, step no 6, step no 7, step no 11, and tradition 2, e.g. step 3, we made a decision to turn our will and our lives over to the care of ( God ) as we understand ( Him ) the words in Brackets is what I.m interested in, so Basically I,m only interested in what thai aa,s use instead of God, Him, power, His, but as I cannot read thai, only speak a little, could you please translate these 4 words from thai to english, + transliteration e.g, ( thai word + good + dee ) Hope you can understand me, HaHa, I appreciated, I love the fellowship, It saved my life since 26 years now, lol, Steve Mc.
