Are you running out of news thai visa ?
Tell us something we all don't already know ! ?
-
Drives the same as 99% Eastern Europeans do here like they own the place
I see countless 18-30 year old Russians or similar looking women riding mopeds & motorbikes & cars with no regard for others and seem to forget how to drive in Thailand
the blokes are bad but the women here are just stupid and I am sure this won't be the last.......

Just very odd how a Brit dies every day in Thailand
more odd was this guys job & yet HE leaves the door open to his room
well let's see who dies tomorrow as it's an every day occurance in Thailand
yet not in any other country with drink & balconies
if it happens in Spain it makes UK news yet in Thailand it never does......
RIP

"Amnesty International" who pays in to this bunch
& 99% of the staff are head scarf wearers !
If if they wanna come to our countries to get out of the Sh...t hole they came from abide by our rules & laws
or simply go back and enjoy your own archaic
?
stoning
hands chopped off
enjoy ?
Coz I don't want you in Bkk or UK
Youve taken over areas of BKK just like you have in all countries I am surprised the Thais have allowed it ?
come on Mrs May get a move on
before some other dumb Arse EU laws ruin what's left ! ?

Perhaps this is an extreme example. He lost control of his money. She could not have done this to him if he kept everything in his name.
I've been taken to the cleaners twice in the West. IMHO Thai law is much fairer.
Sounds like he had some shonky lawyers as well. Who would have thought it?
As I said and as the post was about a "condo" she knew she had no control as the "condo " was foreign freehold
SHE got him to buy a house & having to put it in her name
then the 2nd house to rent again her name
money then dries up time to move on to better things and stitch him up !
Oh then 2 lawyers thought they would pull his pants down too
as many state on here ( on a recent post about about visas ) don't own anything in Thailand you don't know when laws might change or visas
but if this guy who started the post must then foreign freehold only and not more than small amounts

Let the stricter vetting begin! Brits first. It's like everyday there is another story. Sometimes two or three. Not the quality Thailand needs. If Spain had good winter weather maybe Thailand would be spared.
We don't know what's wrong with her yet
& considering where she was could be drugs or been drugged
please tell us where your from oh great one ?

Been living in Thailand over 20 years. Seen several divorces in that time between expats and thai. Please tell me your experience.
I can
a guy 4 doors away from me was very happy in Thailand
met a thai girl
he married her
had a kid
she talked him in to selling his condo 17 million
and buying a house her take was our kiddy wants a garden ?
Errr we have gardens & 2 swimming pools
so despite mine & others comments
he buys a house on a plot of land builds a pool
buys a 2nd small home to rent
both in her name as non Thais can't own land / house
however can his / could his condo
2 years later when he's money runs low she has an affair with a richer foreigner
takes the big house
moves new bloke in
eventually boots him out the small rental house too
he's spent 10000s with "thai " law firms
loves his kids but isn't allowed much contact with them
she's sold the rental home
lives in the big house
he's gone from 17 million condo & money in the bank
to be broke hanging out in a few bars a renting a room locally just to see his kids
he got cleaned out by his thai wife & then by 2 separate thai lawyers
and the rental house that was sold was bought by a major thai developer & is now a hotel site
people make comments it's not the west ? From this guys true story as I've watched it over 8 years unfold he would be better off had this happen in the west
or or simply stayed in his original freehold condo in his name
cheeky bit...h
hes a broken man now
but remains a good dad and sees his lad when she allows it
ive heard & seen many others don't have the time to list them
so as my post early on
put the condo in your name & don't put her name even on the phone bill
simple !

why? If they are legally married makes no difference. This is Thailand not the west were you can be taken to the cleaners in a divorce.
I have a few friends that got divorced in Thailand and were very happy with the court decision on their asset split. Which Thai law states anything acquired during the marriage is to be shared 50/50. The advantage of buying in his wife's name is that the funds don't have to come from overseas, but if he puts it in his name then the majority of the funds need to come from overseas.
Assume your thai then
amazes me 50/50 for a split to suit the Thais
yet anything else other than an advantage point for money to Thais
foreginers don't get a looking or any rights in Thailand
it's joke !

Where do you get off calling someone deluded? His comments make perfect sense to me. Perhaps if you left your preconceived ideas behind for a moment and accept that there are good relationships between Thai women and falangs that don't involve a bar fine..
Can't see any mention of a bar
fine ?

There is no such thing as a 30 day Tourist Visa.
A Single Entry Tourist Visas allow you 60 days in Thailand, and can be extended a further 30 days whilst you are in Thailand.
I don't see how that's correct
recently arrived got the stamp to leave in 30 days
I needed to stay an 7 which was a complete pain
had to go sit in the cue at im office pay 1990b to get 30 days more but only needed 7
not it sure where the 60 comes from ?

160 baht is the equivalent of a half day's salary to some, so hardly "paltry".
Agreed but that "some" are few & far between and extremely rare in 2017 in Thailand
some of these girls have visited more countries than Donald trump & have a choice of passports & still return here because there so cute and getting an easy life from so many donuts that come here !

Why are you expecting women from a totally different culture than yours to act as if they came from the same culture?
That culture or divide may of been the case 10-20 years ago
this is 2017 !
Most at of these girls have more wealth than us
but too many of us never see it ?

Totaly agree, these girls, unless treated, would never eat in the places that we eat in.And yes, they are a different culture, and you cannot expect them to adjust it to suit western ways.My gf, now wife for 5 years, would never assume that she had to contribute to a meal, because she would have no idea how much and she would have been embarrassed to ask.
As for tipping, she was the first to say "dont tip too much, or if/when we come back they will expect more.My old woman has looked after me and steered me through Thai life, when i didnt understand, and has saved me money, rather than made me spend it. Is it so bad of me to have treated her in the past? I knew what i wanted, from the first time i saw her, nothing is too much for me,i have a woman who has looked out for,and has taken care of me, and has asked for nothing in return. And yes, before some idiotic, know nothing, ignorant fool says it, yes she is from Isaan.
"has taken care of me, and has asked for nothing in return "
sorry mate but your a tad
" deluded " ?

I am la creme de la creme of farang seethi , the perfect gentleman , and don't you dare to utter further foolishness.
I am actually the type of tourist/resident TAT dreams of , but really does not deserve.
All was going ok , when the counter officer said I had been in Thailand too many times and had to send me to his superior officer , was taken to a place nearby and there started my ordeal.
How many times in 1 year do you enter on a 30 day tourist visa ?
How many years have you been doing this ?
