Didn't that use to be a pizza place?
Yes it was, Zarrilo Travana or something like that.

Udomhouse bar, just been open for a few months, great reviews on google, near Wild Hog Saloon so there is now a choice for that area.
They certainly show a variety of sport at customers requests.

My dad always said, "save money on stuff like eye surgery, any surgery, anything health or education related."
"Dad, what should I spend my money on then?"
"Well, Pattaya and good sushi!!!"
low cost = blind. lol
Not sure of your sense of humour, or should I say, lack of it.
I can assure you that my sense of sight is 100% better than it was.

Which hospital?
Princ Hospital in Lamphun, less than 30 minute drive from Chiang Mai city.

Many thanks to Wandr for this post,
I made an appointment a fortnight ago and saw the specialist, she was extremely reassuring, as I have a phobia about eyes, and said that she could tell that a local anesthetic would be suffice, she was very kind and understanding, unlike the specialist at Maharaj Nakorn who told me abruptley to get over my phobia.
The head of the hospital and his daughter spoke to me and told me that their aim is to make surgery for Thais and foreigners more affordable without constraints.
I had my surgery on Monday afternoon, the staff, from all different fields, were welcoming and friendly, the hospital is spotless, my private room was on par with Ram and Bangkok hospital.
Bangkok and Ram quoted me 120,000 baht.
Maharaj Nakorn quoted me 80,000 baht
Princ hospital Lamphun total cost 16,500.
I would highly recommend this hospital for any medical issues, I'll certainly be using their service again even though it's 15 miles where I live.

A quick update.
I visited CM immigration this morning and had a pleasant chat with two officers regarding my options for annual extension to my Non-O. They couldn't have been more helpful, giving me all the forms I would require to make the application.
However, they did not acknowledge the suggestion that I can successfully apply having paid myself only 2x 40k baht in the two preceeding months. They insisted I show 12 months of 40k, or 400k in the bank, seasoned for two months. No other options.
Therefore, I am considering
a, The agent at 25k,
b. Leaving it all until I am ready to return from UK, and see how the land lies at that point (November/December with luck). As I said earlier, I am unlikely to have 400k saved up during this visit. The online application for a 90 day single use Non-O from within UK (Hull consulate site) still requires bank statements x3 but doesn't state how much money should be available. Does anyone have an insight on this?
......to be continued.....
So the 2 months of transferring 40K+ that has been advised on numerous threads is not true then?
-
Ubonjoe or any one else that has experience,
I have a ME O visa based on marriage, I should have done a border run on the 3rd June, the visa expires in December.
So could I ask for a 60 day extension at the end of the amnesty, based on marriage and then transfer 40k this month and then another 40k next month and then apply for an extension based on marriage?
I was on a spouse visa the previous year but reverted to a ME O visa as they wouldn't accept the embassy letter.
Then every month I can transfer 40k and be granted an extension next year?
I transfer from my UK bank to Bangkok bank using transferwise.
Many thanks for any advice you give.
Kind regards,
Paul.

I havent done any yet either ,but I have all the other papers I could posibly have.
Im not married but I have legal costody of my daughter.
Still blocked out because no residency.
I honestly didnt think it was that easy to get it,or I would have done it long time ago.
Maybe your'e confusing a residence certificate with a permanent residence card.
You need to have a residence certificate to obtain a driving licence, buying a vehicle, opening a bank account etc.
A yellow book means you don't need that piece of paper from immigration.

If you have a yellow book, then why would you need a residence certificate?

I posted this elsewhere but it is medically unsound to deny an alcoholic cold turkey. I understand the health benefits of stopping but for some, this should be a process and not all at once.
Did anyone in power consider this at all?
No they did'nt. All they want to do is see how far they can control people before they rebel, I suspect they will find out soon!

There is a dentist just on the south side of Sompet market which I have been past a few times (in the last weeks) and it looks very much open.
I just looked it up on google
Called Anutin dental clinic.
This is the only telephone number I could find.

Sorry, but you think you're the only one struggling, think about the locals who have no back-up whatsoever.

Hopefully this is the right forum.
I'm on a Non O multiple entry visa, I live in Chiang Mai, I have to leave the country before 11th March.
We are driving down to Koh Chang on the 4th March for a month or so, stopping off in Bangkok, Chonburi, Rayong, Chanthaburi and Trat. Is there anywhere of these places that I can do a day border run, or am I better going to Mae Sae, north of Thailand, before starting our travels.

Let's take your person and a city like Pattaya. The person with Dengue goes from one area to other areas here in Pattaya and so spreads Dengue around the whole town. If he stays at home he will not be able to do this. But your idea to fight against the problem is to get rid of all mosquitoes in the whole area of Pattaya - completely impossible.
Dengue fever is NOT contagious.

For an extension based upon marriage or retirement it is now 2 months for every extension.
For one based upon marriage there has never been a 2 and then 3 months rule. Chiang Mai immigration only wants it to be in the bank for 2 months.
For marriage the requirements are here. https://www.immigration.go.th/content/service_18
Many Thanks.

Money in the bank for 2 months.
Bank letter on the day or day before.
Depends on where you apply.
Yes you can use the money.
Thank you, I'm sure I've read somewhere on this forum, but unable to find it, that Chiang Mai immigration insist on 3 months before applying for a renewal but only 2 months applying for the first time. Do you have a link to the official immigration criteria? Thanks again.

Am I correct that because I'm renewing my spouse extension, then I must have the 400,000 in a thai bank for 3 months and not 2 months? Also, do I need to update my bank book and request a letter from the bank on the day I go to renew my extension?
The past couple of years I used the income letter from the British embassy, now I'm going to have to bite the bullet!
Can I also use those funds once my extension of stay has been granted?
Many thanks.

That may be the case where you live but in Chiang Mai Province if you use the Yellow House Book and or the Pink ID card they will only issue the license for two years.
I renewed my recently and had to obtain the certificate from Immigration.
Strangely enough as they did last time the license was issued for six years, yet they will accept the above documents for registering a new car in lieu of the Immigration certificate.
I decided years ago to go with the flow and avoid the stress as you will never win.
Rubbish, I just renewed my licence from Chiang Mai using my yellow book and got 5 years, same as before.

It would not apply to you anyway since you were not applying for a OA long stay visa which you can only get in your home country or country of legal residence.
I'm on a spouse extension of stay, does that mean that I won't have to have health insurance when I re-apply in December?
