I thought Denmark was one of the happiest countries in the world after Bhutan, Why trade such a happy setting for  a SEA  prison?

    Is it the taxes?

The taxes in addition to the cold weather during the winter months will do the trick, but stay the hell away from breaking the law, any law in the Land of Smiles, just saying..

In a peculiar and tense situation, a Belgian man found himself trapped inside his car after the battery drained, rendering the doors inoperable. The incident unfolded at a gas station in Kamphaeng Phet Province, where the man had taken a short nap after a long drive.

Around 2:00 a.m. on August 7, 2014, officers from the Kamphaeng Phet News Image Rescue Foundation received an urgent call from a concerned convenience store employee. The employee had noticed the man trapped inside a locked red BMW and promptly sought assistance.

The rescue team swiftly arrived at the scene to find the car doors unresponsive due to an entirely drained battery. Inside, the 40-year-old Belgian tourist was visibly distressed and weakened. Rescue officers repeatedly tried to instruct the man to press the unlock button, but their efforts proved futile without a functional electrical system.

As time ticked on and the man’s condition visibly worsened due to stifling heat and plummeting oxygen levels, the rescuers made the tough decision to break the car window. Smashing the glass was the only viable option to prevent any further danger to the man’s health. Thankfully, the quick intervention worked, and the foreigner emerged from the vehicle, albeit feeble and faint from the ordeal.

The Belgian tourist, who had journeyed from Chiang Rai to Chonburi, explained that he had parked at the gas station to rest, allowing the fan to run while he slept. Unfortunately, the fan’s continuous operation drained the car’s battery completely. Feeling trapped, he struggled to escape until the convenience store employee noticed his plight and alerted the authorities.

The entire operation lasted nearly two hours, but thanks to the diligent efforts of the rescuers, the man was ultimately guided to safety. After receiving immediate assistance, including provisions from the tourist police, he was able to continue his journey, much relieved and wiser.

I don't know what type of automobile the man drove, but whoever the manufacturer is, they could and should be held responsible for this dire slip of safety measures regarding such an instance that easily could've resulted in negligent homicide.

Had the drive rested somewhere else like a deserted remote area this bit of news would've been quite different.

CHONBURI: -- In an unprecedented global crackdown, a leading cybercrime organisation, described as the world's most sophisticated hacking group, has been successfully dismantled. This victory comes as a result of a tireless combined operation between Thai and US security services.

Officers searched a target house in Bang Lamung District, Chonburi Province, and three condominium rooms in Na Jomtien. They found 7.5 million baht in cash, both Thai and foreign currencies, 13 luxury watches including 3 AUDEMARS PIGUET watches worth over 30 million baht, 23 pieces of jewelry worth over 50 million baht.

In addition, there was a black BMW X7 M50d, Thai land title deeds and land purchase agreements, condominium deeds, bank accounts of Mr. Wang Yunhe and Spicy Code company, data storage devices, flash drives containing encryption key data and encryption passwords.

The operation orchestrated by the FBI and Thailand's Technology Crime Suppression Division (TCSD), resulted in the arrest of three top-ranking members of the international cybercrime syndicate. The fallout of the arrests, unlike any seen before, is set to have a significant impact on global cybercrime activities.

The syndicate had been operating extensive illegal activities involving unauthorised system access, theft of confidential information, and cryptocurrency fraud across borders, wreaking havoc on the global digital economy. The arrested individuals are now facing serious charges under the Computer Crimes Act, which could equate to a decade-long sentence for each charge.

Police General Manu Mekmok, Commissioner of Thailand's TCSD, acknowledged the role of constant vigilance and rapid response required in global digital security, stating, "Technology criminals nowadays are equipped with advanced knowledge and resources. Our mission is to be two steps ahead of them."

Supported by the broader international community, this coop breaks new ground in the fight against cybercrime, shedding light on the effectiveness of international collaboration. These arrests are not just wins for Thailand and the US; they signify a victory for global digital securities, acting as a strong deterrent against similar criminal activities. By cutting off the head of this cybercrime serpent, authorities hope to significantly slow the growth and spread of similar syndicates.

The collaboration came from a request by the US to combat cybercriminal activities, focusing on Chinese national Wang Yunhe and his gang. They are accused of committing national-level online fraud, damaging protected computer systems, committing electronic communications fraud and money laundering opeartions in the US.

It's by time that those kind of cyber criminals gets arrested, convicted and sent to prison for a very very long time. Been a victim myself of a sophisticated scam and the authorities  silent ignorance of any complaint less than $100,000,00.

A Chinese man was arrested in Bangkok after causing havoc at a hotel while under the influence of alcohol. The 30-year-old caused extensive damage to a hotel room in the Sathorn district, burning and breaking various items of property.

The local police were alerted by the manager of the hotel on Southern Sathorn Road on May 19, after the intoxicated visitor went on a wrecking spree. The police found evidence of arson on the door of the room and many damaged items within the room. Hotel staff and security had managed to restrain the man.

After sobering up, the man informed the police that he checked into the hotel on May 18 at around 3:11 am and stayed till 7 am the next day. During that period, he confessed to consuming alcohol and destroying several hotel property items.

The damage caused by the man was extensive. It included burning a room door and a room service call button with a cigarette lighter, smashing a glass window, a 55-inch television set, a door on the 15th floor of the hotel, a lamp, a marble table, and bedding. The total cost of the damage he caused was estimated to be 150,800 baht.

The man has been charged with three offences according to the Criminal Law. These include setting fire to another person's property, causing damage to another person’s property and public intoxication causing disturbance. The penalties for these offences range from fines to imprisonment for periods between six months to seven years.

I think they announced it just recently. Rather to early to see influx in October.

Some countries, like germany, opened for summer holidays, despite omicron. As to boost tourism and travel.

Yes, they had inevitable wave, but rather small one.

For them winter time waves are more dangerous, as they are enhanced by flu

Went through Germany this summer where masks was mandatory on all trains, i.e. public transports..

TP is only good for one time entry.

    You'll need a new one.

I completed my application today, easy. Instant confirmation by e-mail.

That's all well, but from where? Your home country? That's the problem with me. I will not be in my home country but a foreign one with a different Embassy, which I can only imagine will complicate matters.

What's the stated validity on the TP you have?

If it was issued under the original test and go, that would have needed a single, first night AQ and test. Did you cancel the hotel, test and flights that the issued TP is linked to?

Easiest way to get the correct answer is to email tp consular themselves. They will have the definitive word if an old TP can be used or linked with the new TP double testing rules.

Yes, I used the TP back in November and stayed at a required hotel + test. I'm still here in Thailand, but my multiple 60 days visa runs out on Feb. 22nd.

With the borders still closed I'm forced to fly out and fly back in to get another 60 days permit of stay.

So, my question was, if my original TP still is valid or do I have join the circus of obtaining a new TP in a foreign country in order to get back here?

But like you said, better contact the Thai Embassy who issued the TP in the first place, thanks...

Yeah what ever..........Start with the fact the poor doctor was killed by a Cop who then left the scene without so much as a sorry

Anarchy is way over due & would be a vast improvement over this ruling class of swine

By the way, how does a mere cop able to afford a rather expensive Italian superbike like a Ducati?

Hitting a cow in India is a far worse offense than killing a pedestrian here in a zebra crossing. It is not uncommon that a mob lynching follows the injury or death of a holy cow...

Your testing will be done right in the airport, but then you'll need another, second  test for departure to Thailand -- they don't give you a report of your airport test and anyway it is rapid antigen test so doesn't meet Thailand entry requirements. There are only a few  places you can do this test for travel purposes, and it  takes at least 24 hours to get the results.

In addition, flights are only in the morning (and need to book well in advance - they fill up as demand exceeds seats).

So you'd need to spend at least 2 nights there..and that's assuming you go straight from the airport to the testing location for the pre-departure test and there are no delays in getting test result. Personally I'd allow a day or two extra just in case, especially given that you likely can't change flight schedule on short notice.

No quarantine unless you have the misfortune of testing positive either in arrival or on your pre-departure test.

COVID tests for travel in PP can be done at either:
