  1. Wouldn't a plant that makes triggers for grenade launchers being monitored rather closely? Can anybody just order them?

I wouldn't be quite so quick to blame the red shirts just yet. Maybe it's Newin and his crew.

Would YOU recognize a triggering part for a grenade launcher? I would not. And if asked if I could make x number of this part - why should I not?

As far as I know it´s as likely to fit on a harvester as on a grenade launcher.

  2. To my way of thinking- a balcony is usually an appendage on a building that is not at ground level. Ground level balconies are usually referred to as decks, terraces, patios, etc.

So- unless wild Thai rabbits can fly up on to a balcony, it makes sense hat the OP wants to keep his rabbits from being victims of gravity!

Furthermore, I've never seen a rabbit running free / wild in Thailand. They would most certainly be as you suggest - caught and eaten! Aroi mak!

Hannahcopacabana - just for laughs, tell us!

Well, obviously wild Swedish rabbits can. This specimen can be examined in a museum in Sundsvall, Sweden.

Sorry, off topic, but I just had to.

  3. Nice OP and a lot of good information in the following replies too.

I really would love to, when my time comes, to have a full Thai funeral with gambling, drinking, laughter and a lot of food.

Let's not forget that for the one in the coffin this is not a time for sadness, but for joy. From here on everything is supposed to get better for him/her following the Buddhist thinkings.

  4. Don't have that kind of filter, but I would expect that you hook the third line to the drain. Since dirty water is entering the normally clean side of the filter (with less build-up), it will flush out the build-up on the other side.

When finished, I would expect you would want to run filter water to the drain for several minutes, so that any gunk from your brief backwash can get out of the system.

Yeah, I guess that would be the least "valve consuming" set up. I think I'll go for that one.

    Thanks!

  5. Hi all!

I have invested in a water filter, glass fibre tank, from one of the bigger suppliers. And no, nobody there have got a clue.

The filter has a three-way valve on top and a handle marked "Backwash - Filter - Close".

When I look at the installation manual it is obvious that water goes in on one side of the top and out on the other. There is a third outlet that should be the outlet for the backwashing procedure.

But - and here is the question - with no supply of fresh, clean water to backwash the filter this must be done using uncleaned water re-directed inside the top of the filter to enter from the clean side of the filter media. Can this really be how it is supposed to be done?

Of course I could set up a multitude of valves to play with to pump clean water from my storage tank to use during the backwash, but is this overkill?

I hope that someone out there might have a similar filter system and would care to share some information.

  6. I would be very grateful if some talented member could help me to find the correct Thai expression for "Slow sand filter" (the model that can be seen in almost every village throughout the country.)

I am capable of putting together the separate words, but that seems to easy. Right?

    Thanks a lot!
