An excellent site is UK All4. Has a category section on World drama and some of the Walter presents programmes are superb. You pay a bit per months to avoid full advertising in breaks - but if you don't mind that it's free. A good VPN makes access very easy. Good luck

The weak pound and strong Baht have left me litttle option but top leave Thailand. I have been staying here on a retirement extension.  I do not wish to be separated from my family, so rather than go back to the UK, I decide to spend a week in Siem Reap to see if it cheaper to live there. I found accomodation, food, drink transport and general living much nearer what I can afford - so I am planning to go there to stay for an indeterminate amount of time until financial circumstances allow me to return. In the meantime I intend to apply for a 6 or 12 month visa in Cambodia which includes multi entry permission to leave and return.

My question is what visas will I need to make return (regular?) visits to Thailand.? I do not intend to renew my retirement extension, so I presumably will not be required to do 90 day reporting or completeing TM30s.

Any help or advice would be very much appreciated.

On Saturday 27th July, I posted 2 picture of a flower from my garden, asking if anyone could identify it.

This morning I called in  to find out what was appropriate paperwork evidence for 65K baht monthly income method to obtain a retirement extension. I use Transferwise and wanted to know if its receipts, plus UK bank statement and Kasikorn bank statements with a letter, would be acceptable.

I was informed, by a very friendly Volunteer, that currently Phuket Immigration was ONLY processing the 800K Baht method. They were still seeking clarification about what was acceptable for the 65K monthly income method.

I guess we will have to wait until something is posted before we know what is accptabgle.

Just curious. This morning (7th January) my Thai Visa News arrived. This is normal. I noticed that the forum item on Ex Pat Health insurance had responses to it that were 19 hours old - ie yesterday. This seemed to make any reponses I might want to make redundant, or out least almost out of time.

My questions is is Thai Visa issued at different times or differnt days. I am in Phuket.

This follows on from previous thread about Internet banking. I cannot use the kasikorn mobile app because it demands I connect for first use using 4G.

My One Plus 5 phone simply will not work using 4G.i have taken it to DTAC, repair shops, asked everyone I know, but to no avail.

Can anyone offer any helpful advice & suggestions please. Many thanks.

Thanks for the helpful replies. Standing Orders do not look like a "normal service".

I have just tried to set up a standing order from Kasikorn Account to pay my monthly rent to the owner, whose account is with Kungsri Bank.

I had naively assumed this would be a straightforward inter bank payment ie a Standing Order.  However, despite visiting two Kasikorn banks to check, it appears they simply do not offer this service!! I am amazed.

I could, however, stay in the bank, sign 5 pieces of paper (one of them 3 times), pay Kasikorn bank 60THB and the payment could be arranged for this one month only.

Anyone had similar experiences and/or can anyone suggest a more convenient way of setting up a simple, direct monthly payment.

I have a car and 2 motor cycles. One posting about Thai affairs said I should notify Dept of Land Transport about my change of address both for the vehicles and for my car and motor cycle licenses.

Yamaha (motorcycles) and Nissan (car) from whom I bought the vehicles say that I need do nothing!

Can anyone tell me which is correct. Thanks for your help.

Help and advice needed.

Renting a small 2 bedroom bungalow in Chalong area of Phuket. Landlord just increaed water costs per m3 from ฿20 to ฿30. Can this be legal - a 50% increase!

Also, I think I read recently that the Government is prohibiting landlords charging more than cost price for electricity from May 2018. Is this correct? Currently I pay ฿7 per unit.
