  1. Yes he needs to get out more.
Some members have commented on how many posts i make, but never more than 10 in any 1 day.
Also as my legs dont work anymore, i have an excuse, as i find it very difficult to get out.

Hey I post from bars as well. Ever been to Hua hin lol. There is nothing to go out and see! Im about to go to the gym and promise not to post from there but may post from the mall at lunch. Just click the follow button it's better than being stalked [emoji15]
  2. Do you think that the food carts that pitch up outside so many 7 eleven's do so un-asked and with impunity? The sad franchise holders are so cash-strapped with their 'investment' in the CP empire, they need to rent out that space to make ends meet. I have noted a trend for newer, larger 7 elevens to have a large, designated, signposted 'customers only'  parking area out front and a conspicuous absence of vendors. Maybe CP's newer franchise agreements prohibit owners making any extra money this way?

That makes no sense. If your business is suffering you don't rent out your shop front to a business that's competing against you.

Maybe rent it to a hat seller but never a food and drink seller

However I was talking about the thousands of mom n pop resteraunts across Thailand . They are hard workers to, why do they have to pay rent and tax?

  3.                          Actually, both Thailand and Malaysia failed to spot the plane's trajectory, and the plane most likely traversed the peninsula where their two borders meet.  If they can't spot a large passenger jet lumbering by their borders, then what the heck can their radar do?   Perhaps it's just a hollow non-functioning expensive showcase, like the 25,000 security cameras which never work in Bangkok.

Wow only took 3 posts and we have some one bashing bangkok. Only on TV can a story about an aeroplane in Malaysia turn into a story about failed cameras in bangkok
  4. No, they probably don't pay tax but then again they're not sitting in front of the TV waiting for a dole cheque or some other social benefits handout like a lot back in Farangistan do. I complement any man/woman who tries to make a living - irrespective of whether or not they pay tax.

You simply can not allow squatters selling anything to not pay rent or pay tax.
How would you feel if you were a small resteraunt owner or bar owner and they set up in front of your shop? And you have to pay tax and rent... Yep thought so

  5. Since long bar/red-light occupation is not an indicator for the kind of cheap mass tourism that makes up for the numbers. If you want to see the masses I suggest:

visit Bali Hai at 9 AM, do a boat trip to Ko Lan (NOT!).

watch the tour buses coming in

watch the crowds at Suvarnabhumi transport level heading to Pattaya, the pennant swingers followed by their herds.

    ...

Just read today that during low season May to July another 200'000 Chinese might come on top due to some kind of "ban" from South Korea.

    You nailed it.

I caught the catamaran to hua hin last week and was at bahli hi at 9 am for 10 am departure... I have never seen anything like it!

The pier was completely full like an exit tunnel after a major rock concert. There were hundreds and hundreds of them.

Clearly the tourist demographic in Pattaya is changing

Relying on "porn" the beer bar girl saying no boom boom now many customer gone no longer holds any weight.

  6. Thais can't even walk a short distance, most expats in Bangkok would agree that walking any distance in Bangkok is just too sweaty. So what are the sidewalks for if not for providing cheap food? Bangkok is a filthy place, even so, I have never got sick from street food in 30 years. If you love to walk, live in London, probably the best walking city in the world.

Nonsense. Tourists agree it's just to sweaty. Or maybe your just an obese expat that can barely make it out of your room. Every expat I know has adapted to the heat and for those that didn't the last place to eat would be out in the burning sun.

  7. This is Thailand (TiT) i'm sure there is lots of room for you in your home country to walk the footpaths at will, airlines leave everyday.

people complain about immigrants wanting to change their adopted country, now non immigrants want to do it.

I guess you got agitated and did not read my post properly , the bit about I live next to a bts and doesn't affect me.

It clearly doesn't effect you either, out of sight out of mind eh?

  8. Lots of guys in the West have "do not revive ' tattooed on their chest, some have long term illness or just sick of living.

You could get that done in thai and roll the dice on whether you wake up or not

    Or

Tattoo do not treat at bumingrad , that would work with all uninsured in bangkok

An elderly friend fainted outside villa market was taken straight to the Bumrungrad where he got double pneumonia.

2 weeks 1.2m baht which he paid

They never found out why he fainted

  9. Unfortunate spot to break down for sure, but if he is telling the truth, he did the right thing with hazard lights and cones. Some drivers here are just crazy whether their vehicle is restricted to 90kmh or not. I wish the passengers a speedy recovery and assume their well-being might well be down to the fact they were probably wearing seat belts.

I'm pretty sure they are all very seriously injured. Hit a brick wall at 120kph even with seat belt is going to cause major internal and external damage.
