Happy your friend is doing ok for now and hope he recovers to enjoythe rest of his life.

You sound like a very good friend to him

I must also add that I am a regular patient of BPH for the last 8 years. I’ve had 2 heart attacks

and one motorcycle accident since living in Thailand. I’m. Very blessed to have survived all three incidents

and very grateful for all the medical attention I have had.

I see my heart doctor every 4 months for my checkup now to make sure all is good with me.

Good luck with your friend and hope he comes out of this on the bright side.

Thanks for the info on Issan, but Issan is not my bag. Koh Yao Noi is my final frontier, and todays swim was quite nice.
I have to get a thermometer so I'm on top of it.

    Thanks everyone for the input

  3. Thanks Action

Ive seen this comment before about blocks of ice. On the island here, they don't have blocks of ice, but plenty of big bags of ice used for the restaurants.
For the party coming up on the 26th, I'll use your suggestion with the ice.

After this, I may try the fan and see how that works out, the the bid umbrella will be my last resort

  4. Thanks Frederico

I thought the same thing with the fan idea.
    Thanks for your input

I'll keep a lid on it for now. The water is pretty cool at this part of the season right now. And if it gives me one day of bath water temps, the fan comes out, and maybe an umbrella.

  5. Hi. I'm looking for some good ideas keeping my pool chilly. I get 16 to 17 hours of shade per 24 hours. Thinking of putting a 10 ft wide umbrella on the outside of the pool to offset 3 or 4 more hours of sun. Anyone have a chiller hooked up?

    Thank you

  6. Hi

So I’m finally going to come home to Koh Yao Noi on July #2. I have my vaccinations, I have my Retirement Visa Valid, I will get a Covid test done 72 hours before I travel. And I will travel by Air to Phuket.

Is this enough to enter Phuket without any quarantine?

I will certainly watch this forum for future changes

  7. I'm looking to rent a rototiller to till up my yard.

I live on Koh Yao Noi, but anywhere near I would find

a way to get it to my house.

    Apperciate any responces.

  8. The place next to Big-C in Kamala is closed. Someone shopping at Big-C said it closed about 4 months ago.

He did mention there could be one in Laguna. Anybody hear about a dry cleaners open in Laguna?

    Thank you, still searching

  9. Thank you to everyone for your help.

I had an old duck feather pillow done in Phuket Town and it did not come out well. It surely did stink and was not saved.

So now, I have my down comforter that’s been sitting for 5 years.

I’ll give it the gentle soak treatment with a 2 day dry in the sun.

    Thanks again

  10. Hi all.

Im looking for a service that wash/clean large comforters.

    Its a down/duck feather comforter.

I live in Bangtao but willing to go the mile to get this thing cleaned.

    Thanks for the help.

  11. I'm looking for a place to fish other than the fishing parks. I've fished at Bangla Fishing pond already,

and it's pretty cool, but I want to fish some of the lakes I see in Kathu. There is a lake near the big Gems

Duty Free place. I think its called GSM or GMS. I see motorbikes parked on the side of the road. Also some

    umbrella's inside near the shore.

    Any ideas are welcomed.

I wish I could join that German group right now. Where I live, maybe 10 people are are residing now in their condo's, and its like being in grade school here in Bangtao Gardens. Its pathetic that the reasoning here is so childish. We are adults and surely can take care of ourselves and be safe

Instead of stating the obvious about the amount of time Pattaya's tourism industry may take to recover, why don't they look at the opportunity in front of them: time to clean up Pattaya and make it a resort for the New World that is coming, less jet ski scams, less double pricing, sort out the waste water drains going out to sea, the songtheaw mafia, etc - time to make it more welcoming

You would think. all this time and very , very few Thais are taking the time and improving. sad but true

I used to fix these monsters, so I'm tempted.  Where are you?

    Dude

If you use to fix these, why in Thailand they seem to go bad and can’t repair???

Mine is 5 years old. Power Buy sent it back to Onkyo in BKK, but cannot repair.

    what a waist of money.

    Any more suggestions???
