  1. It asks the question,

Do you have any children under the age of 18      (Yes)

Will all of your children be joining you in the Uk?  (No)

Why will all of your children not be joining you in the Uk?  (blah blah)

What date did your child first enter the Uk?  DD/MM/YYYY

Her daughter has never entered the Uk

  2. This is in fact the same form I'm filling out, the issue I have is it asks the question,

"When did your child first enter the UK"

My partners child has never entered the UK and it does not allow the date format "DD/MM/YYYY/ to be left empty.

So basically anything I enter into the date box is incorrect but I can't bypass it.

  3. My Partner entered the UK in June 2020 with a fiancée visa, on the condition that we marry within 6 months.

We are now married and looking to upgrade her visa to settlement without her having to leave the UK.

I'm a bit confused as to which visa to now apply for,

I thought it was the family visa but it's asking me lots of questions about If her child needs a visa and what date they entered the UK.

This is obviously not relevant to us so can anyone point me to the right visa to now apply for.

    Thanks

  4. Sorry if this question has been answered,

I submitted my fiancee's settlement visa on 17th February 2020 (this was the date she had her appointment at the trendy office building)

It's one of those visa's where we have to marry within 6 months of arrival in the United Kingdom, should the visa be granted.

We were informed that it can take up to 3 months, I.E 60 working days (working day being a 5 day working week)

With this in mind we were expecting a decision by no later than 17th May 2020

I saw on this thread that visa's that have already been applied for are still being processed but with likely delays, I'm just wondering what I should do with regards to the DRO appointment and wedding date, as these dates are all carefully lined up to fall in sequence with the awarding of this visa.

The obvious thing to do would be to push these dates back further into the summer but I'm worried how this will effect the visa decision bearing in mind that all the evidence I submitted with regards to "proof you plan to marry within 6 months of arrival" lines up to these dates.

Do you think it's likely that the visa will be refused, as any significant delays will make our booked wedding dates irrelevant? Or do you think they will be sympathetic to the fact that these dates most likely wont be met due to the delay on their part?

Should I change the dates for wedding and DRO now? Or keep them the same in case by some small miracle, we have the visa on or before 12 May 2020

I really have no clue what to do here.

    Thanks

  5. Hi all,

I'm looking for some advice as how to proceed after my application to get my girlfriend to the UK on a Visitor visa was refused.

For some background, we started chatting on a dating website around November 2016 and we met in January 2017 and spent nearly a month together.

We have pictures of the trip and obviously the stamps in my passport to prove I went to Thailand, the only issue being that as we became serious, we both agreed to delete our accounts on the dating website and as such have no evidence of that first contact.

I thought i'd covered all the bases on our visa application but to quote the letter of refusal,

"I note you have declared savings of £700 but these assets are not confirmed by any supporting documentation and I am not satisfied such a sum is available to you. Based on this, I am not satisfied you have demonstrated that you have economic ties to Thailand and I am not satisfied you will leave the UK at the end of your proposed visit."

"Given the above, I am not satisfied your personal financial circumstances demonstrate that you intend to leave the UK at the end of your visit and that you are genuinely seeking entry as a visitor. Your application is therefore refused under paragraph V4.2 (a) and (c)"

So this was down to money that she had in her bank account at the time of application, that most of was used by the time her meeting at the visa office took place (it took nearly a month to get an appointment)

So what is the best way to proceed ? If we just do another application, is the first application taken into consideration?

Her account now has around 14,000 bt in credit, should we declare this? Does this really represent economic ties?

Should we maybe use a visa company this time?

    Any advice would be appreciated

    Thanks
