  1. So thankful to find others that are having these same issues.  Been in Thailand 5 years now and never had any issues using Chase or Citi credit cards on sites/apps such as True, Lazada, MEA (electricity), or OfficeMate.  Now I can't use any of my USA branded cards on those sites.  And nobody seems to know what is going on.   True said it is because of 3D Secure, which is so "old school" technology now.  Sure hope this gets fixed soon.  Hard to operate my business in this way.

If you have an appointment booked you've answered your own question.

Why would you go somewhere else?

Well...because we live in Thailand, I thought it best to ask.  Today, my suspicions were confirmed.  Even though my appointment was at CW I was denied there and told I had to go to MTT.    Thankfully the appointment I had at CW was accepted there and I didn't have to wait very long.   Now when you book an appointment online it doesn't give you the CW option.

  3. So now that this has been done, where do I go if I already had an appointment scheduled for next Tuesday, July 14, to process my 90-day report?  The appointment still shows Counter B-65 at Government complex.    (I always do it online, but with the app and website down for the past 2 weeks I was unable to process it that way.)

Admin- Feel free to move this if I need to post it elsewhere.

  4. Good morning. Anyone else seeing a delay in getting "Approved" status on 90 day reports that were completed online or via the App?   I submitted one 90 day report (personal report) on 29/03/2020 via the App that is still in "Pending" status.  I also submitted two 90 day reports (family members) via the online web portal on that same day and they too are still showing "Pending" status.   I have been using the online reporting process since 2017 and have never had an approval take this long.  Oh, and I did submit the reports within the 15-7 day window.   Thank you.

That depends upon the immigration office you report to. Only a few are wanting it done after trips within the country.

Ubonjoe - Can you, or anyone else who reads this, confirm whether Immigration 1 Chaengwattana wants you to file one again for travel within the country?   I can't seem to find a clear answer anywhere.   (I'm trying to get an answer from CW, but not luck getting through yet.  FYI- I am on a Non-O, just extended 1 year this past Tuesday, filed TM30 before getting extension of stay)

  6. Purchased a 2014 Toyota Innova last month.  I am looking for new floor mats, a better jack to use if/when a flat tire, and other minor auto parts.  I have only lived in Thailand one year, so all is new still.  Are there any good places to go look for auto parts other than Toyota?  Anybody recommend a place to order floor mats that cover the entire floorboard area?

    Thanks in advance!

  7. I'm looking to buy a used 2016/2017 Toyota Innova V but cannot find one anywhere.  I can find 2015 models, but nothing newer.   Maybe I am confused about how the year models work here in Thailand, as they don't appear to work the same as in the USA.  Is the model the dealer sells that is "NEW" possibly from 2016/2017?   Any information anyone can provide would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you.

  8. I have a question regarding required hours for volunteers.  Here is the situation:

    • Have Non Immigrant "O" Visa - 6 months (will get 1 year in January)
    • Have work permit as a volunteer for a Foundation in Bangkok.

I am being told that I must volunteer "full-time" hours, and that language learning can not be included.  I have been here 6 months, I do volunteer between 30-35 hours per week, but also study the language 10-20 hours each week.  My "job" does require me to learn Thai and be proficient in speaking, reading, and writing.   What does "full-time" mean?   And why would my language learning not be included?  Any information is appreciated.   Thank you!

The TM30 should be filed within 24 hours of arriving back at your place of residence, as informed on your TM6, not 24 hours of arrival in LOS.

Whether you are required to file a TM30 when re-entering will depend on your Immigration office.

    Which office is it?

Have processed everything at Immigration Division 1.  Live in Suan Luang area of Bangkok.  (On Nut)    Thank you dentonian!

  10. Good thread.  Here is my situation.  USA Passport.  Currently have a work permit, with 90 day visa.  Will get 1 year visa in July when 90 days expires.   Leaving LOS for 10 days on May 26th.  Will get a 1 time reentry permit upon departure.  Do I need to file form TM30 when I return on June 8th, or within 24 hours of arrival back in LOS?    I am certain that landlord filed TM30 upon rental, and Foundation I volunteer at handles all work permit/visa processes.    Thanks in advance!
