Well it's culture, my wife told me about superstars in Thailand paying millions in dowry.
I married my wife 15 years ago and didn't pay a single satang. Her parents from Issan has never asked me for money. On the contrary they have asked me if I needed any.
When my wife's sister married her husbands family came with 300 k and gold and gave to my mother in law. She just commented "you need it more than me" and gave it to the wedded couple.

Insurance scam? No way, This guy "Heng" is a true car enthusiast , he owns a unique collection of cars. Watch the video in another comment. This car was very special totally rebuilt with expensive parts and in absolutely mint condition, 1600 BHP, no other one like this. My guess is that it was worth much more than 10,5 million baht

Thanks but I have tried with different computers. Got information here in this thread that they updated their system October 1st. Not tested since then.

I were at Chaeng Wattana October 10th. Came there at 8.15 and leaved 1.30 175 before me in queue when I got my queue number.
A lot of agents with 10 passports or so passing the queue.
Regarding online report.
They only accept an outdated version of Internet explorer. When entering the site you get warning about security issues.
This is of course if the site is up and running, which shouldn't be taken for granted.
I have tried several times but given up.
Next time it will be by snail mail, seems to be the safest and most convenient this year 2018.
