Swiss people really seem to hate noise.

I live in Ch and it feels like people here are just waiting to get some reason to complain about.. if you live in the city and open music and a window at the same time, wait for 10 mins and the cops will come. They closed up 90% of our cities party area because of noise complains.. this is typically swiss.. and they want to do the same shit in other countries... swiss arrogance... its only fair to see some blood

  2. you can get attacked in all countries when you go to the wrong places and where can this place bee in thai if not in pattaya... redlight, drugs, mafia... you can have fun as long you ignore whats goin on behind all that, many thai people are suffering from that, get angry, start to hate drunken white old men who come <deleted> theyre girls. this keeps families alife but destroys many too. for tourists its some weeks of fun, for ppl here its theyre life. if you have nothing and you see "rich" people all day having fun, you earn in one day what they spend for 2-3 drinks...

if you stay in a place like that bee careful and respectful, learn about thai people, this will help you more than pepperspray. there are many fights goin on between thais, if they drink it happens easy, they easy loose control and in theyre mentality it doesnt mean youre a coward if you fight 4-1 and keep some things in youre hand to attack.... (its a pitty, before i came here i trained onely muay thai, a fair and honourfull way of fighting.. but thats not reality here... alike in many other places of the world)

  3. Before i came to thai i did not reall like thai girls, but after staying here and go back to europe i thought most woman look a little like cows, there s no elegance, theyre to massive... this was before i ever came even close to a thai girl (the first time in thai i thought this would onely cause me trouble, so for a yung traveller its easyer to meet travelling girls...). But after meeting my girlfriend and learning how soft theyre skin feels i never had the whist to touch an european girl anymore (maybe a dark skinned italian one ok...)=D

And there s the drama.. its not easy to deal with it but i think i need this

oh and there s the.. i would call it "offensive shyness", i think most here will understand what i talk about

  4. Hello

I googled before my last Visarun and i did not really find any help that is up to date. I got a multiple entry visa and i share here my easy and cheap way to do visa runs.

I did about 4-5 visa runs before thisone, but before i spent a night in Vientiane and went back to Thai the next day. There s a bus in Udon bus station (blue-white) that will bring you to Vientiane for 80 bath only, i’m pretty sure thats the cheapest way to get there (They say you need a Lao visa to buy the Bus Ticket, so take care of this before, you can save time and money. Some countries can get free visa on arrival, for sure Switzerland, so you not need to do anything before). The bus will stop at the thai checkout first (after a 1hour drive), you have to get out and they’ll get your departure card. You get back in the bus on the other side of the counters. The bus will pass the Friendship-Bridge now. At Lao border you need to fill in a new arrival card (sometimes they hand it out in the bus already so take a pen with you and you can pass really fast). Don’t forget to buy a border pass for about 1000 kip (it’s more on weekends but still not really worth to mention it). There s an extra counter before you pass the passport control! After the control you have to pass a gate, where you need this card. Get back in the bus and about 30mins later you will arrive in Vientiane.

From Vientiane you can take the same bus for 22000 kip and do the same backwards.

If you want to go back the same day, so there’s some shorter version.

Take the same bus from udon and instead of get on the bus after Lao border (please tell the bus driver you will not get on the bus again so he will not wait for you) just walk around the building and check out from lao again. There you see a counter that say 4000 kip, that’s the ticket for the shuttle to cross the friendship bridge. After check in thai again there will be many tuctucs waiting. Take advantage of this mass to get a good price to get to Nongkhai bus station (around 50 bath). This ride will take you 20mins. At the station you can get an ac shuttle bus for another 50 bath to Udon. The bus went to the airport first so it took a bit longer than an hour).

So i spent 200B (plus 5000Kip) for the whole visa run, that takes less than 4 hours.

I think this is one of the fastest and for sure the cheapest way. (If tuktuk and local bus stations are not the right thing for you just take a taxi from the border to udon, so you not need to wait for the bus. The price should be about 300-400B.)

I got a swiss Passport, so i not have to pay for my lao visa, inform yourself about the visa fees before you go and maybe you can fill out the application formula before (as i mentioned in to buy the bus ticket in udon you nee a Lao visa because the bus will not wait for you doing the visa at the border), some people will try to scam you if they see you have no idea what’s going on.

It’s helpful to learn at least some numbers in thai, so you can get lower prices easy when you take a tuctuc (they will take more people in the same tuctuc, if they know you can understand them they cannot ask locals to pay 50 bath and charge you 100).

I thought about taking the car to the border and then just take the shuttle bus but i think the gas and the trouble to park and find your car again isn’t worth it. Better sit in a bus, lean back and relax! The only bus that’s in a really shitty condition is the one between the borders, but for 10mins that should be ok.
