500K baht for the elite visa.
Minimum age is 20.

The US Embassy has the fingerprint forms if you want to have them done somewhere and then sent to the FBI stateside.
For a job I got in Africa back in '12, where I needed a police clearance, I opted for getting a police check done at the Royal Thai police headquarters here where I have been living since '96.
Much easier and more painless IMHO.

This form (tm 30) is a logistics nightmare and very troublesome to Thais and foreigners who own a few condos that they rent to foreigners long and short term. It is virtually impossible to monitor and report within 24 hours the arrivals of foreign renters. The only way to report it and avoid being fined if you don't have a tax stamp is to go down to immigration within 24 hours of the renter entering the country. In this case, it is better to not even try to report using the tm 30, but just reimburse the renter if they accrue a fine.

Money talks and Thai laws are fluid and open to interpretation.
My guess is that you're fine.

What is required is a "Bai rap rawng paed" which you can get by walking into any clinic where the doctor asks you how you're feeling and checks your pulse.
Here in Bangkok, it usually costs between 80 to 150 baht and takes 3 to 5 minutes.

You should just get your new passport at the US embassy in Thailand where I got my last 3 passports.
Those passports are made in Thailand. They say it takes about 3 weeks, but last one was ready in one week.
Then it is easy to go to immigration here and have the visa transferred.

"My friend" goes with the Elite Visa because he is American and cannot stand that the IRS forces him to file the FBAR every year which requires him to report all balances in foreign bank accounts. Even though 800K isn't a lot to him, he cannot stand the intrusiveness of what he considers to be a globalist police state.

I have wanted to have a Filipina live with me here in Thailand for the past 10 years.
Either be ready to spend really big bucks or move to Philippines.
I have found no other legal solution.

It doesn't matter if they owe it to you. They will not give it to you. TIT.

So sad that there are few testimonials here and few real answers to the original question. I think that if you want a hair transplant, then you should give it a shot.
I started going bald in my early 20's and by the time I was about 55, I just didn't like looking at the bald guy in the mirror.
On a trip to India in late 2016 when I was 60, a very dear friend who knew me from when I was a teenager, goaded me into it at a top clinic in the Punjab and even paid for most of the cost.
I was so bald, that I didn't even think I had enough donor. I went through the procedure over 2 days and 18 hours of surgery to get over 6000 grafts transplanted for a cost of under $3000 US.
It also included, PRP (Protein Rich Plasma) injections. The hair took hold and grows faster than it ever did. People tell me that I look 15 years younger and I feel more confident and enjoy seeing my face in the mirror so much more than for the past 3 decades. It's not a full head of hair, but it is distributed well and looks great on photos and cam chats and gives a great first impression.
Most importantly, I feel much better about myself and that's what really matters.

My biggest problem is being profiled as a white male living in Asia for almost 30 years when I return to the USA for one visit of about five weeks every year.
I don't know if this happens to anyone else, but at customs, they single me out and go through everything in my bags and force me to give passwords to all my electronic devices.
They belittle me and accuse me in so many words of being a money launderer, human trafficker and drug dealer for about 40 minutes and then let me go on my way after asking where I'm staying and who I'll be seeing.
They take copious notes.

To avoid hassles and to expedite departure, if flying out, file a police report. It only takes a few minutes and you will sail through immigration with the document from the police. (After a potentially long wait in the queue)
