As far as I know the only test accepted by the US is the lab test that takes 7 days. The rapid test is not recognized by the US. This is according to the STEP email I got from the US govt

They usually want 6 months of bank statements with over $7,000 each month. This is what they wanted the last time I applied for one.

If you are from the US, just open a Charles Schwab checking account. They refund all atm fee's regardless of the country. They do not charge for using an atm. And they give you market rate when with drawing money. Last month they paid me back over $50 in atm fee's. Best way to get cash out of the US

3m makes charcoal masks that are sold at Tesco. Work better than the regular surgical masks. About 19 baht each.

News flash. ANY gov't in ANY country can seize your bank account with out cause. Gov'ts can do as they wish to all aspects of yo ur life. For example in the US if they want the land you live on they can just take it with no payment even though its yours. They even have a word for it, its calld eminent domain.

I have 2 bank accounts here. One was on a tourist visa, other was on a non B visa. Never a work permit. But will need a lease agreement, certified copy of your passport from embassy, passport, and cash to put in. The more the better. Thr banks are Bangkok Bank and Krungsri. Krungsri was by far more helpful and easier to work with.

Look for any little old lady's sitting on the street with a sewing machine. You can get it done for around 80 baht and takes 10-15 min. In my area of On Nut there are at least 5 or 6 lady'ssitting outside doing this. I've had mine done and they do good work.

If you are from the US, open a Charles Schawb checking account. They refund all atm fee's and give you market rate on withdrawals. Its the easiest and cheapest way. Then if you have a bank account in Thailand just do a cash deposit. That way you save all the fee's and get a good exchange rate.

I had to do the same with bangkok bank. They were horrible to deal with. I now have a bank account with Krungsri bank. Way better people and they offer more with less documents.

I know there are a few embassies in OZ that issue them. You will have to check. I think one is in Melbourne and another may be in Perth

There is a gym close to Phrong Phom BTS that will do ED visa and one close to On Nut BTS. Those are the only 2 I know of. I looked at it a while back. Its something like 40-50k baht for a 1yr ED visa. You can train at the gym 2-3 times a week at 2hrs a pop. You have to provide all your equipment. And its just training. It cost extra if you want to spar.

I'm in the U.S. now for 2 weeks visiting friends and family also needing to get a new visa. I used a visa company I've used in the past. I submitted to them all the information to get a METV. I did rush service, even had them call me to verify everything. Got my passport back today and checked. To my surprise there is a non immigrant b visa, M status in it. I'm guessing they gave me a 1yr multi entry non b visa at the embassy instead of the METV. Could this be correct?
