Hi all,

I'm currently holding a 90 days Non B visa from vientiane embassy to work in a school. But things changed and I will not work for them.

So my question is do I have to cancel my visa before exiting Thailand, knowing that I didn't apply for an extension neither work permit.

I currently have a 30 days exemption of visa that I need to change it to get a non immigrant research visa. I already have used about 10 days in the exemption and still can extend it. I plan to do the extension in bangkok at chaeng wattana.

All the letters I have for the application have dates for the beginning of my research starting the 27 of this month. I'm still awaiting for a last document that I will get Thursday or Friday. So I can't apply before Friday.

Is anybody knows how long it takes for the immigration officer to change the visa?

Because Im not sure if my application  will be accepted due to the dates in the letters and I'm wondering if it is not better to apply outside Thailand
