I've not read all replies, so it may have already been mentioned, but all these homes owned under company name, could these properties ultimately be seized?

Why would you put all your eggs in one basket? Why would you not have multiple accounts, and just switch funds between them when something like this happens?
Some people don't plan ahead. Which is unfortunate for them.

Do you think it will only be Barclays.

A good friend banks (banked?) with Barclays.
They keep contacting him and telling him that he must close his account.
His response is always 'No. I do not want to close it.'
Followed by 'if you want it closed, you close it and I will respond appropriately.'
He will get the shock of his life then, when they do eventually close it, won't he. Or maybe not such a shock.

Imagine the thousands of people who only have this account. Don't have an address in the UK, at the very least will need to be in the UK to open another account. This will destroy many expats, particularly the ones who are barely scraping by at it is in a state pension. Finding the funds to fly back to the UK to open another account won't be possible for many. The clock is ticking.

Great idea, apart from the fact that Wise doesn't let you hold balances in baht.
Yes, it is a good idea. See below. @Foxx

It will be interesting to see how this plays out, I guess I could just stop sending anything over here, which is fine with me.
If you have a wise account. Maybe you could load that account up and hold it in Thai baht. Then when you want to withdraw from a Thai ATM, use your wise debit card. Other than the 220 baht withdrawal fee, it's a little safer than your money being deducted by maybe 20% or whatever the amount will be when it enters your account.

I think thai society will deal with this issue quickly. The teacher will be looking behind his back for a long time with what has happened
I've witnessed the aftermath of a Pitbull killing someone, but because the dog apologised there was no further action on the owner. Yes, the dog apology was sufficient.
Didn't a similar thing happen last year where a ladyboy teacher abused a child and said it was an accident?

Its probably about to expire... nobody wants it any more. Way too many reports of side effects.I only took the 2 Phyzer shots because someone said we couldn't renew our visa without it.No more useless shots for me!
I had 2 astra. Based purely on the coercive tactics used. Too many to list. But a few were no more air travel if do not take. None entry to sporting events or even supermarkets.
The truth is all coming out now and the vast majority would not have them even if they were paid to have them.
I even recall being told have the shots to protect others as you won't be able to pass on the so called virus. A total and utter propaganda job that even Josef Goebellls would have been proud of.

Good job it wasn't in Phuket. They might have got a yellow card.
Serious question. Is this yellow/red card only for Phuket? Also heard that even no crash helmet or proper license could get you carded.

It is a game changer, for people thinking of going under those new rules. We all know the forced insurance will not cover asymmetric. So IMO people will not decide to go under those new rules.
The risk is much higher, and perhaps the rule change is they don't make money of pre tests, and can catch more people out.
I have already booked and submitted my thai pass, but I will take a PCR 72 hours before my flight and if positive then obviously not get on the plane.
But I think thaipass will continue to flatline until they remove the hotel, insurance and testing for fully vaccinated people.
Would you happen to know what Thailand now class as fully vaccinated? Minimum of 2 jabs. Or 2 plus booster.

Just in Portugal for a holiday would have normally spent in Thailand . Usually for 1 month but sadly zero chance of me going under the current rules and regime . Just friends going to see with no g/f there as
been there done that not to be repeated. Cant say I dont miss my time in Thailand but arrived in Portugal for 4 weeks , no test on arrival , need masks walking around but all bars / restaurants fully open with zero restrictions. Ohh and wine is mega cheap and very good which is a big bonus!. Yes a little bit dearer than Thailand but infrastructure and lack of scams make up for that. Sad really but until they sort out all the issues I wont be back anytime soon .
Make the most of it. Portugal was added and then taken off the red list twice by UK. Won't be long before it has its turn to be added once again. Nowhere can be truly classed as a safe haven for easy travel now.

Just now, BritManToo said:Fake insurance certificate.
Sure the implications for being found out would be immediate deportation. I don't think that's a risk worth taking. Having said that for over 10 years he's lied about the money in the bank. Using a agent to falsify his bank records.
Me personally I'd always be fearful of being found out. But a lot would probably follow your suggestion.

Yes. Also it won't be long before retirees will need to show insurance upon visa renewal also. I have an elderly friend retired here who has never had insurance. He's almost 70. I've always thought if they bring this in he is too old now to even get any cover. Then what?

Why does it matter how long you've had your address?
You can create a new one in about 20 seconds - I have many addresses - all for different purposes and given to different people.
Example, i would never share the address I use for banking with a forum. It also means I can prioritise the important from the trivial.
It simplifies things. I'd dread to think a confirmation email would be sent to an email account I got locked out of or forgot the password to. I do however appreciate your reply and the practicality of your preferences. We may disagree on multiple email addresses however. But I think we might agree on the farcical Thailand pass and hoops needed to re-enter Thailand.

I would apply now but please read all the posts available and get your application right. I have heard people using hotmail accounts are not getting email confirmations so just in case use a gmail account as that seems to at least give you an email confirmation.
That would prove awkward as I've had my Hotmail account for about 15 year. That would be the same email id use when booking hotel etc. If not Hotmail then would the same be said for a free Gmail account.

Attack anyone, get euthanised. That should be the procedure.
Didn't the dog who killed a man a few months back apologise to some monks at a temple?
I agree with you by the way. I'm just pointing out that the Thais will think a dog is genuinely sorry if it apologises to some monks lol.
