It seems the recovery period for this procedure can vary greatly. My 75 year old dad had it done and was up and about the next day and working in his garden three days after. When I had mine done at 40, I was miserable for almost a week, a very painful recovery. Hoping your procedure goes well and wishing you a speedy recovery.

I need help formatting an address in the Bang Sai , Chonburi area. I can find the exact home on Google maps, but do not know how to convert it to a correct Thai address format. Please PM me if you are able to help and I can provide more details. Thanks.

I can recommend 'GoGo Florist', having just used them this week. I ordered the morning of and the flowers were received later that afternoon. Easy payment on their website via Paypal, and they sent sent a confirmation of delivery email with a picture of my girlfriend receiving the flowers upon delivery. The prices were equivalent to what I would pay here in America, but the quality was good and my lady was thrilled. Well worth it to me, I would definitely use them again. Delivery was to the Chonburi area. I hope this helps, good luck!

I will be visiting Thailand from America in November, and my friend has asked me to visit class with the school children he teaches. I would like to bring a small gift for each of the children, but I'm not sure what might be of interest to the kids? They are ages 6-10 I'm told. Any ideas what might be of interest to Thai children of this age?

crushed ice is made from large slabs using not so clean water, and cubed ice is made in a machine using clean water.
Ahh, ok. That makes sense, thank you!

don't drink tap water, or crushed ice, only formed cubes.
Thanks for the reply. I'm a bit confused, why would it be OK to have ice cubes but not crushed ice?

I'm planning to visit Thailand for the first time in November, and have a few basic questions:
1. What is the best time to buy airline tickets? Should I buy now or do prices generally get cheaper the longer I wait?
2. I will be visiting for 14 days. It's my understanding that I will only need a US passport? I've also read conflicting things about carrying your passport with you at all times?
3. Will my health insurance plan in the US cover me in the event of an illness or accident in Thailand? Or will I need some kind of additional coverage?
4. What about any immunization/vaccinations before I leave?
5. Will my current cell phone plan work in Thailand, or do I need something different?
Thanks in advance, and feel free to add any first time traveler tips!

How would I say the following in Thai?
"Good luck on your test today, I know you will do great! Have a safe trip to Bangkok."
After Age 60: Is it possible to learn to Read and Speak Thai? And, Is it Worth the Effort?

Of course you can learn a new language after the age of 60, there is no biological reason why you couldn't. Learning a new language is difficult at any age, but with a bit of determination and daily practice, surely you can do this.
