  1. Dear Admins - please move or delete if not suitable - thanks.

After paying in for 23 years into the social security fund I receive a small amount of retirement money from Thailand. Meanwhile I moved back to  my home country (Germany) and had received two payments only. Since October last year the payments were ceased and by accident I found out, that Social Security Office (SSO) requires a proof that I am still alive every October of each year.

I got this certificate of being alive from my city administration, however, in German language, which was not accepted by the Thailand Consulate in Frankfurt - they require a certification from the district court or Regional Council, that should be translated by a certified Thai language translator and then all documents should be send to the consulate for their certification.

I do not have any contact details to my SSO as those matters were dealt with by my former accountant - as I have closed company there is not much communication.

    Question:

Does anybody has knowledge on how to send a certificate of being alive to SSO or any other ways to provide them a proof (except of flying to Thailand 5555).

Appreciate all input in that matter and have to thank you all in advance.

  2. Once my driver had an accident while I was a passenger. It was his / our fault and the guy who was injured, who was terrible damaged in his face came to hospital where I visited him.

After a few days he was discharged of the hospital and should recover in his home.

Our first class insurance was insisting that he should recover at home and then they offered him 20.000.- B....

I had to intervene and insist with the insurance that they paid him well and took over all costs in relation to the accident.

    Finally the did.

Now Thailand needs to put Germany on the "High Risk" list.

You need to know, that the incoming government consists of clowns - one more un-eductated and un-qualified than the other.

The reason on why Germans should not travel is a monetary one: having the highest taxes and duties as well as paying the highest prices for electricity, fuel, .... every cent is urgently needed in Germany to teach the world a lesson in climate saving and inviting all the world to search for their "green" pasture in Germany at the taxpayers expenses.

  4. It is estimated that the "black economy" share in Thailand is about 41% of the gross domestic product - it might be lower right now due to the pandemic.

However, that money need to be invested e.g. in Hotel properties. Whether they can sell the rooms or not doesn't matter - the property is there and can be sold or liquidated at a later point of time.

  5. My company is also depending on construction business and we are struggling since 2 month to pay our fixed cost and salaries.

No support at all from social security although we paid - in for more than 16 years.

It is going to be very serious and all my staff is suffering - hoping it will improve soonest. Otherwise we have no choice but to lock-down.

    Very sad.
